Memories Mini Album

Hello
I am sharing with you today my latest creation, which is a mini album in a romantic style, Think Wedding, Engagement, Anniversary etc.
The album measures 15 x 10.5 cm. and has 4 internal pages.
It is based on a vanilla or pale ivory colour.

For the covers I used vanilla card (Stampin'up), and covered it with handmade tissue paper. A lace paper ribbon is fixed down the left side and a lace paper doily, (both first sprayed with Perfect pearl mist) attached to the right. A die cut (Marianne) butterfly from white shimmer card (Stampin'up) is placed on the doily. The memories sentiment is from a Justrite set, embossed in silver and die cut with a Spellbinders die. The doily, label, and page edges have all been sponged with Antique linen distress ink. The pearls on the butterfly, label and lace tape are Stampin'up and the rhinestones flourish is part of a larger Prima design.

The first two pages.
The script paper (unknown), has a metallic paper punched strip below it with a ribbon covering the join and a silver butterfly and a white shimmer heart die cut (Stampin'up) in the top left corner. The other page is covered in a Prima paper.
The second set of pages are covered on the left with a Prima paper and on the right with a paper from Artsylicious. The heart embellishment and the lace ribbon are from Stampin'up Artisan Embellishments, highlighted with a clear Stardust pen and some paper rosebuds added.

The left page has a die cut frame (Spellbinders) in vanilla, embossed with antique linen ink and misted with perfect pearl. The negative section is included as a template, or base for the photo. The paper used is Artsylicious. The right page is Prima paper, the heart is from Stampin'up More Amore  designer paper. A small tag is included for details.

The left page on this set is unknown. The butterfly is die cut (S'up beautiful wings) is vanilla card misted with perfect pearl sunflower sparkle. The paper on the right page is Fiskars HG. The Window is white and white pearl card die cut using an IO die, with S'up silver foil vellum behind it. A large tag (for a photo or message) is slipped behind.

The final two pages. The left is a Fiskars paper with a Sizzix die cut leafy branch, and an embossed heart. Inside the back cover is a small vellum pocket with a tag and some embossed butterflies. The album is held together with book rings with ribbon tied through.

THE END
I hope you have enjoyed your visit today.
Thank you for stopping by.

This album (which can be created in other colours or styles) will be available in our online store.

Creating with BaRb-Stampin'up-Butterfly Congratulations

Butterfly Congratulations
Good morning
A romantic card today. Suitable for a wedding, engagement, or even an anniversary.

The card uses very vanilla as a base, and for the label and butterflies. The mat, label frame and leaves are in pear pizazz.
Afternoon picnic paper was taped to pear card and then embossed in the lacy brocade folder. A heart shaped paper doily from artisan embellishments was sprayed with perfect pearl mist and taped to the paper panel. A piece of lace (artisan embellishments) was taped above the lower part of the doily. A tulle rose was added to the left end, then a vanilla seam binding bow and another five tulle roses added with glue dots along the centre of the lace. A resin rose (artisan embellishments) was glue dotted to the bow.
Using the little leaves die, two leaf sprays were cut from pear card, sponged to give a little definition,  tucked behind the lace and secured with glue dots.
The sentiment, from teeny tiny sentiments, is stamped in crushed curry and punched with modern label punch and outlined with marker. A pear label is also punched, cut in half and frames the ends. This is then attached with dimensionals.
Vanilla card was sprayed with perfect pearls - sunflower sparkle- and cut with beautiful wings embosslits.
The butterflies are layered in pairs using glue dots. The two larger butterflies are attached to the card using dimendionals and the others with glue dots.
An insert, stamped with the rose spray from Elements of style, and the Happiness greeting from Heard from the heart stamp sets, was added inside the card.
Pearls are added to the butterfly bodies and rhinestones to the top left corner, label, and amongst the lace.
A very pretty card which I hope gives you plenty of inspiration.

Happy crafting

Mpress Heart Dies

Hello,

One of my Favourite blogs to visit is Grabrielle Pollacco's Blog - Such a pretty Mess - her work is absolutely amazing.  My following card was inspired by one of her fabulous creations.

I have not added as many embellishments as Gabrielle did - I kept mine a lot simpler.  The hearts are die-cut using Mpress dies.  The flowers were pre-made - I think Kaiser from memory and I used these as the base for my choice of colours.  The leaf twigs are punched with a Martha Stewart Punch.

I stamped the word Love (Stampin Up) in Tempting Turquoise Ink (Stampin Up) and clear embossed with clear embossing powder.

I have left the insert blank - well I should say wordless - as I have stamped hearts inside - so this card can be used for many occasions - anniversary, wedding (if you don't require a white card), or just as an I Love You card...

Love....

Wedding Card-Always & Forever

Hello
Today's card (I know- another wedding card) uses a few different dies.

The card base is in Stampin'up Shimmery white card.
The Cheery Lyn lattice die and the Spellbinders oval die are cut from Stampin'up Whisper white card, and the front panel and the Fancy tag frame are cut in white Pearl card.
I have attached Stampin'up silver foil vellum to white pearl card, then attached the lattice diecut to this. I then threaded satin organza ribbon through the ends of the frame diecut and attached this to the panel, which was then fixed to the card front.
Satin vine ribbon was attached to the lattice with glue dots and the paper flowers were then added, again with glue dots. The oval label, stamped with a Just-Rite sentiment and embossed in silver, was added with dimensionals , and a bow tied to the left. The small heart negative sections from the frame were added to the lattice, and rhinestones to the flower centres.
I hope you have found some inspiration here, and thank you for visiting.
Keep Happy, Keep Crafting.

Creating with BaRb-Stampin'up-Blossom Party dies

Blossom Party dies
Good Morning
I was checking through my supplies drawers recently, and found a stack of foam sheets so decided to try die cutting them. This is what I came up with

It is a tent fold card and I have rounded three of the corners.
The card base is natural white, with the flourish (Cheery Lyn mega flourish die) in wasabi.
The flower is Blossom party die cut twice and layered offset, from red foam sheet and the leaves are die cut in green foam using Autumn accents die.
The sentiment is from Just Believe set embossed in wasabi powder and punched with Modern label.
Rhinestones have been added to the label and top right corner. The flower centre is Prima.
The foam flower is really touchy/ feely, and I will be using this more often.
Enjoy
Happy crafting till next time

Wedding Cards

Hi

I am so glad that we can find inspiration almost anywhere - including the fantastic range of Craft Magazines that are available... I must admit I do have a couple of favourites and I think I am now a bit more choosy in which ones I buy.  Once upon a time - I tried to buy lots of different publications - but then I guess depends on what projects I happen to be working on at the time i.e. Scrapbooking / Cardmaking / Sewing - Patchworking etc / Beading and the list goes on...

On the weekend I purchased the Australian Cardmaking Stamping and Papercraft Vol 20 No 4 because I fell in love with a card on the front cover.  I do not have the same products that the Designer in the Magazine (Cindy Gilfillan) used so I improvised and used what I had.  I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder and a spellbinders oval die to create my frame.

I did not actually read the article until after I had created my cards - which was then I realized the designer actually used a die-cut frame on the front of her cards - I think using the embossing folder works just as well.

As you can see - I created both of these cards as wedding cards - the wording on the top one reads "For The Newlyweds" and the bottom card reads on a tiny tag - "Mr & Mrs" - both of which are Stampin Up Stamps and punched with Stampin Up Punches.  Butterflies and bling on both for that sparkly touch. I used brushed silver Card as the background and added acetate under the oval cutout to protect the die-cut flowers etc.  Thanks for the inspiration Cindy Gilfillan!

I absolutely love these ones, hope you like them too!!

Wedding Card

White, white and more white... with a touch of silver!

Hello - I have another wedding card to show you today, this one is a quick and easy make...

A great example of how simple can be beautiful.  I dot embossed the card base, added a die-cut frame, double layered the butterfly and then added the wording.  I lightly inked the card edges with silver ink and added a silver layer under the wording - see - simple and beautiful!

Forever and Always,

Wedding Cards

Good Afternoon,

I had a great day yesterday! We (my Monthly Club and I) had a Cardmaking day - we covered boxes, made gift bags and created some beautiful cards.   I have been asked to create a Wedding Card so I looked on Pinterest to find a few ideas and then created some cards.

My problem is when I took photos of the ideas I liked (I was taking my camera with me for the day and this was the easiest way to remember the ideas) I didn't take note of the original creators of these fabulous cards.. sorry ..  and if you have spent any time on pinterest you know how easy it is to spend hours there and end up no where near where you actually started!  So if I have made (cased) a card from your fantastic creations pinned on your boards - Thank you very much for your inspiration!! (Note added later - see below..)

I have changed them slightly from the original different - embossing folders and flourishes, slightly different layering etc.  For these two cards - I mostly used Stampin Up products - I'm sure you recognise them!

Thank You once again for all of your amazing creations - which we can use for Inspiration!

Note - I went back and spent some time and have found the original card I used for  inspiration for the bottom card - Thanks anncraig.blogspot.ca for the beautiful design of this wedding card!!
Top card - inspired by a card sold on Etsy by CustomCrafts and Cards - Thank-You!

Kaisercraft Owl - Birthday Card

Hope you are having a great day!

This is the last of the Owl Birthday Cards I created the other day...  She is a Kaisercraft Stamp...

I used a bright pink square card - which is why I chose the Lime green background paper from my stash. The Happy Birthday wording is from Stampin Up's Happiest Birthday Wishes set.  I black embossed the owl  onto pink cardstock and then stamped another image which I cut the heart from.  I added a touch of sparkle to the Owl and her heart by using my Stardust Pens.  I circle punched 3 circles from some of the leftover background paper and raised these with mounting tape for added dimension. I added a double row of ribbon and some rhinestones to the centres of all the flowers on my card.

I think Lime Green and Pink work so well together,

Creating with BaRb-Stampin'up-Stippled Blossoms

Stippled Blossoms
Hello
Todays stamp set is Stippled Blossoms. I have a couple of ideas for you. one very simple and the other a little more involved.

This square card has a natural white base, pear patterned paper, white for the image panel and blushing bride and melon mambo for the trim.
The blossom is stamped on white with blushing bride ink, then versamark ink and embossed with melon mambo powder. A third image was stamped, cut out and layered on top. The leaves are stamped in pear, with the second step in wasabi.
The paper is embossed in the square lattice folder, and the pink card trim cut with the adorning accents die.
The butterfly is stamped in perfect plum, with a second image stamped and punched and layered on top.
The sentiment is from teeny tiny sentiments and punched with word window. Pleated pear ribbon and melon trim organza ribbon, tiny silver brads, and a glimmer brad finishes the butterfly. The top left corner of the card is lightly spritzed and three rhinestones adorn the corner.
These two cards are both the same design but in different colours.
The first is in Island indigo, calypso coral and white, with the flowers stamped in saffron and coral.
The second version is in natural ivory, blushing bride and marina mist. The embossing folder used is delicate designs. The sentiment is from Embellished events.
A lace paper doily, bakers twine and a vintage button are used on each design with dazzling details glitter glue highlighting the blossoms.
The image panel on the blue card is lightly spritzed, while the pink card has some pearls detailing the panel.
It is really amazing what a difference a colour change can make.
I hope you have found some inspiration here. Till your next visit, have fun crafting

Kelly Panacci - Twit Twoo - Owl Birthday Card

Hello

Barn Owls, Great Grey Owls, Horned Owl, Spotty Owls - they are all sooo beautiful!  I am not sure which category this cute little owl belongs to!

She is from Kelly Panacci's Clear Set - Twit Twoo - which is a great stamp set!  I black embossed the little owl and coloured her with Twinkling H2Os - Garnet and Almond Beige.  The background paper is one I created using paint and a plastic scraper for a textured effect.   The frame is a die from Mpress set of  Dies called Floral Brackets.  I embossed this using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Happy Birthday is from Stampin Ups Express Yourself set.  I used raspberry ribbon and some Kaisercraft flower rhinestones to complete my card.

Very girly, isn't she?

Stampin Up Forest Friends, Aviary - Owl Birthday Card

Hello Forest Friends,  How sweet is that?

The Stampin Up Forest Friends stamp set is really cute - in the set there is a gorgeous little deer, a rabbit and a little tree - as well as the Owl that I have used in this Birthday Card...

The Forest Friends Owl is the black Owl on the Top Left.  The Orange Owl at the Bottom Right is from
Stampin Up's Stamp Set - Aviary, she is sitting on a tree stump which is a Art Stamps Stamp. Too Cute!!
I black embossed the Owl, Tree Stump and the wording (Stampin Up Grunge Rock Set).  I Orange embossed the other little Owl and have attached her to the card using mounting tape.  Ribbon from Stampin Up, background paper from my stash and rhinestones are the other products I have used to create this card.

The orange card base is a gate-fold and here is a photo of the inside lining.  The inside wording is from Stampin Up's - Happiest Birthday Wishes.

Hope you are enjoying my Owl-themed Birthday Cards!

Hampton Art Owl Stamp Birthday Card

Hoot, Hoot

Hello, another Happy Birthday Owl card for you - this card is made with a Hampton Art Set - I have used one of the owls and a branch from the same set.  I coloured the stamp with markers and when I stamped it on my white cardstock, I was not happy with the blotchy result, so I then coloured over the top of the image with the same markers.  (The stamp set is a clear cling set - and I have a few of this style stamp, which for some reason don't always seem to stamp out as clear and as crisp as I would like - even after doing the soapy water thing....anyhow, I just work around that.... )

I used a glossy purple square card, a piece of white cardstock, which I embossed with a dotty embossing folder.  The background paper is a painted background which I dragged a plastic scraper through the paint to create a particular finish.  I added a piece of white ribbon across the middle to disguise the join in the card and background paper.  The wording is from a Stampin Up Set - Express Yourself, punched out with a Stampin Up Punch.  I added rhinestones to the corners of the cards and to the owl eyes.  I then used a stardust/gelly roll glitter pen to outline the owl and her branch etc - bit hard to see in the photo though.   When I attached the owl to the card, i taped the main part of the branch flat and used dimensional tape under the owl and some of the leaves for added dimension.

Isn't she cute?

Hello,

After blogging my owl card Punch Bunch Owl card the other day, I created a some more owl cards which I will show you over the next few days....

This card I made using Kaszazz Big Al Stamp - he is a gorgeous big owl....

I used an Olive coloured card base with background paper from my stash.  I mounted the background paper on brown cardstock and also used a piece of the brown cardstock which I offset under the orange cardstock on which I stamped the owl image. The owl is stamped with versamark and embossed with Top Boss Embossing Powder - Cocoa Bean.  The ribbon is from Stampin Up and so is the Happy Birthday wording from Stamp set - Grunge Rock.  I added rhinestones to the corners of the background paper and to two of the corners of the orange layer.

Handmade Journal

Good morning

I created this journal for a Very Special Young Lady in my life. It is intended as a keepsake for her 18th Birthday.

The journal is created entirely from scratch, using recycled packaging boxes for the covers and the page bases, which were then covered with patterned papers.

There are pockets, tags and envelopes inside the covers and pages, with plenty of room for photos, lists and                                                               other special keepsakes.

Inside back cover.
Once all the pages were created and embellished, I then assembled the journal using my Cinch Machine.
To see all the pages in the journal please visit my Pinterest board-Barb's Creations.
Thank you for visiting.

Creating with BaRb-Stampin'up-Your'e Lovely

Your'e Lovely
Good morning
I have another card for you today, still featuring mainly products from the new catalogues.
I was aiming for an understated (organic?) look with this design.
New products used are Your'e lovely stamp set and decorative dots embossing folder from SAB and Natural chevron ribbon and basic button from Occ. cat.
The card is a matchbook style with the left 2cm. closed, then opening from the scoreline. The ribbon and button are attached before the side is sealed.
I have used Natural white card, crumb cake ink and cherry cobbler marker.
The sentiment is from an older set Sprinkled expressions.
The deco labels die is used to cut the aperture in the panel above the stamped piece and for the frame around it. Candy dots and linen thread are also used.

For the insert I have used Background builders and Blessed Mother stamps, along with the Sprinkled expressions hearts.
I feel I acheived the look I was aiming for. What do you think?
Till next time- be happy- keep crafting

Stampin Up Owl Punch and Punch Bunch

Good Morning,

Sad to say, school holidays are over, which means back into the school routine - my Husband says the tears in the morning are from me and not from the prep children starting school for the first time!!!

I was looking at our own Pinterest boards (which I guess we all do on a very regular basis) and realized - my Owl Board is sadly lacking in pins - considering I love owls (which I am sure you all know) I have an owly need now to create, create, create all things owly ... well maybe not all things!?!

Here is a Birthday card I made this morning using Stampin Up's Owl  Punch, the owl image is from Stampin Up's Punch Bunch stamp set, Happy Birthday from Stampin Up's Postage Collection and punched out with their Petite Curly Label Punch.

The beautiful paper is some from my stash (not sure which brand sorry), the orange flowers and leaves on the paper are flocked - so my card has the 'touchy, feely' element as well! Ribbon from Stampin Up and Rhinestones to finish the bling.

We always line our cards to give them a professional finish.  I used Distress Ink - Ripe Persimmon for all my stamping.

Whoo Hoo, off to make more Owly Creations,
