Lavinia - Fairy Wings...

 Happy New Year!

Hope you have had a magical start to 2023!

Speaking of magical, I have beautiful Fairy cards again today - can you tell these are a favourite to create!?!

Fragile Fairy Melanie is a Stamp It stamp framed by Lavinia Fuchsia and Dylusions Oodles of Foliage.

Luna sitting on her branch is from Lavinia and the background foliage is a Japanese wooden stamp.

Lavinia's Daydreaming and Creeping Vine and Hero Arts Blooming Meadow are the stamps used on the card below.

Stickles have been added to the Fairy's wings for sparkle as a touch of fairy dust!

Thank you for visiting us today!

Lavinia - Pixies, Fairies and Dragons...

 Hello

Pixies, fairies and a dragon are todays' theme. The cute little dragon is from Lavinia and the funky trees on this first card are from a Kaisercraft set called Hey Birdie.

Fairy Chain Small and Creeping Vine (top of the card) are from Lavinia. The flowers and leaves across the bottom of the card below are from Kaisercraft's Full Bloom using Liquid Pearls for the flower centres.

Below: Lavinia Small Pixies and Miniature Stars are framed by Lavinia's Fuchsia and Hero Arts Blooming Meadow, again using Liquid pearls for the flower centres.

I really enjoy using these Lavinia Stamps!

Fairies and Woodland Friends - Lavinia Stamps

Hello

We take a little trip to fantasyland this time and for these cards I have used some of the gorgeous designs from Lavinia stamps.

The above cards were all created using smooth white card for the design panel. Backgrounds were first created using masking techniques and either distress, or distress oxide inks.
All stamping was done with Versafine inks. Black for main focal images (eg. animals) and colours for other elements. Wink of Stella pens were used for additional colouring (fairy thistles and cherry blossoms).
The panels were then fixed to card bases in colours chosen to correspond with the designs. Stickles glitter glue and liquid pearls were added for sparkle.

This design has been stamped on white gloss card. Hero Arts dandelion frame border was first stamped, then Lavinia's fairy and flutterby, using Versafine black ink.
Colour was added to the background by sponging on Distress inks.
The coloured panel was layered on to  black gloss card, then on to a coloured base card.
Stickles glitter glue was added for highlights.

I hope you have enjoyed our little visit.

Till next time
be happy

Hello,

Stamps used on the above card: Lavinia Moments Like These, Dylusions - Oodles of Foliage, Indigo Blu and Stampendous - Butterfly Beauties.

Lastly, stamps used on the above cards: Lavinia Fairy Wish, Lavinia Fuchsia, Indigo Blu and Hero Arts Silhouette Burst.

I created the backgrounds using Distress Oxide Inks, then added all the images with Versafine Black Ink. Added rhinestones to the flower centres etc and finished off the edges of the cards with glitter.

Gift Tags featuring Kaisercraft Flowers...

Hello,

Today's post features a selection of gift tags. To create these tags I have used a selection of products from my stash - way too many to mention!!!

Washi tape, Kaisercraft and assorted flowers, Kaisercraft Collectables, stamped images etc etc etc...

Quick and easy - I purchased the tags from my local newsagent, it takes almost no time to embellish them - this is a great way to use up those pre-made coloured flowers!

Thanks for visiting!

Hero Arts Fox Spinner Baby Cards...

Hello,

Today's cards feature a really cute fox image from Hero Arts. For both cards I have created a mirror image of the stamp using acetate by stamping onto the acetate with black ink and transferring this on to white card. I have then coloured the images with markers.

Both cards are spinner cards - the fox is attached to the octagon window with fishing line in between the layers of cardstock to hide the ends of the fishing line and this allows the fox to 'spin'".

The "hello baby" is a Stampin'Up image from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and punched out with Stampin'Up Punches.

I used octagon shaped dies to create my window, but of course you can use any shape for the window and any stamp for the spinner as long as there is enough space for your image to spin.

When creating spinner cards - be sure to wind up your image before placing your card in the envelope, so when the recipient opens the card... woohoo!! Spinner!

I think I might use baby elephants next time I make some of these cards!

See you soon,

Once again, I have kept the layers of these cards fairly minimal - suitable for posting. I have also tried to keep them suitable for male and/or female recipients.

Carta Bella - Christmas Time - Red Ornaments - Surprise Box .... and... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Good Morning,

Happy New Year!!  Hope you had a great finish to the year 2014 and are excited to start a new one!

The first creation we will share with you is a surprise!!   Well really a Surprise Box.  If you have never seen or opened a surprise box - you are missing out!  When you remove the lid.... the box falls open... Cool huh?!?   These boxes are a fantastic gift idea - you can add photos to the inside (and the outside if you wish!) before you gift them, or the recipient can add their photos after...

Gorgeous isn't it? It looks just like a present... so it feels like I have created a present for you to start the new year with... do you like it?  Keep reading and you will see the surprise inside!

I have chosen paper from the Carta Bella Christmas Time range, this particular one is named Red Ornaments which I have teamed up with Green Cardstock and Brushed Silver card.

Surprise!!!

inside this gorgeous little box, I have created some little gift boxes...

I have used my all time favourite Hero Arts Decorative Ornament stamp to create the ornaments on the lid.

Enjoy the first day of 2015!!

I heard or have read recently a quote...

"What would you do today, if you knew you could not fail?"
by Robert H. Schuller

Hmmm, where do I start?

Pink Cards ...

Good Morning,

Today, I have made some Pink Cards... We all know how hard it is sometimes to say the right words or just to even find the right words to say - sometimes, there are times where just saying - "Thinking of You" or even "Sending Caring Thoughts" is all that is needed...

Think Pink!

The embellishments on these beautiful cards are from Kaisercraft Collectables - Botanical Odyssey. I have used  a selection of embossing Folders - Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, Stampin'Up Chevron and Modern Mosaic. Wording is from Stampin' Up Teeny Tiny Sentiments and Hero Arts - Special Note of Thanks Sets. Ribbon, brads, assorted embossing powders and rhinestones complete these cards.

The above cards are available for purchase (Australian Residents only) from our shop, please visit:

I am thinking of you and sending caring thoughts your way,

Baby Thank-You Card Packs

Hello,

We were recently asked to make a donation to a charity for a Baby Hamper - one boy and one girl...  This is what we created...

Little 10 packs of Thank-you cards for the busy Mum to be able to quickly jot down a Thank-you to whomever she pleases.

A 10 Pack for the Baby Girl Hamper and

a 10 Pack for the Baby Boy Hamper.

The liner/insert of the card has two cute little Forest Friends and plenty of space to write.

To create these little Thank-you cards I used - White card and a selection patterned papers, Stampin' Up's Forest Friends Stamp set, Stampin' Ups Sweet Essentials Stamp Set, an Alpha Lettering stamp set, Hero Arts - Thanks Very Much Stamp, Top Boss Cocoa Bean Embossing Powder and Stampin' Up's Early Espresso Ink. I also used assorted ribbon and brads. The box was created with the Envelope Punch Board and held closed with a strip of acetate.

These are so cute and I was really happy with the result.  What do you think of my little Baby Thank-You Card Packs?

Thank-you to you for visiting us!

Hero Arts Decorative Ornament Christmas Cards

Good Morning - it's the weekend again - which means there are only two more weeks left of school for some of us!!

I have shown you my tags I created using the Hero Arts Decorative ornament stamp - here are the cards I created using this stamp:

I don't often make square cards - but when I found a pack of square cards with envelopes and was able to buy  a pack of matching paper - I knew I was making some square cards this year!  The card they are made of is a kind of metallicy (is that a word?), shimmery - pearlescent like card. Beautiful!!
I made a red version - layering onto a red metallic paper.

A silver version and a gold version.  The gold card was not square as you can see - but looks just as effective using normal white card with a glittery embossing powder.

Back again soon with more of my Christmas Cards,
See you then
