Mini photo albums using Tim Holtz Alterations, Stampin' Up and Cuttlebug...

Hello.

By using a selection of embossing folders, coloured and white cardstock, lettering dies and an envelope pocket die, I have created covers for these instax sized photo albums.

The envelope die is from Stampin' Up - Big Shot Scallop Envelope...

Lettering Die used here: Tim Holtz Alterations Vintage Market...

Blue Lettering: Tim Holtz Alterations Typeset...
Red Lettering: Tim Holtz Alterations Chip Block...

Embossing Folders: Green - Stampin' Up Textured Impressions Square Lattice
Blue: Cuttlebug Script
Red: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots

Each album has an elastic closure and of course doesn't necessarily need to be used for photos... any small memento eg ticket stubs etc can be treasured in these albums.

Hope to see you again soon,
thanks for visiting

Wedding Cards...

Good morning,

Hope you have a great day planned.  Inspiring you today with a selection of Wedding Cards I have created recently...  Inspiration comes from many places - I have been inspired by Stamps, embossing folders, flowers, punches and dies. Another place you can look for inspiration is Pinterest... if you have never looked on Pinterest Boards I recommend you do - the ideas that people have are so amazing!  I am often inspired by Pinterest - I like to take an idea and change it by using different stamps/embossing folders/dies etc...

Adding a touch of colour to Wedding Cards can sometimes make all the difference - pale colours generally work best, but then again who wouldn't like a wedding card with a splash of Red?

Enjoy your day!

Christmas Gift Cards...

Hello,

I have been creating some mini gift cards to use up some of the Chipboards I have in my stash.

I made my base card, then added a layer, followed by a further layer which has been embossed with Christmas embossing folders.

I then added ribbon or twine and, on some of the gift cards I have also added a brad.

Quick and easy to pop onto that little gift.

Back again soon,

Halloween Cards 2015...

Hi,

Halloween will be here before you know it!  I have created a few cards for our Market Stall and today I am sharing these with you...

I have used a selection of products - this first card features Kitty from Stampotique.

"Whether you're a good witch or a bad witch it's all about the shoes" hehe, who cannot relate to that!
Stampin Up's Tee-Hee-Hee and Papaya Collage.

Next is Stampotique's - Connie shows off her nails, using Cuttlebug's - Creepy for the spider and Tim's Gadget Gears die for the web.

Stampin' Up's Toil and Trouble, stamped on Spellbinder's Labels 10...

And Stampin' Up's Happy Halloween.

Hope you have enjoyed our Halloween Cards,

Just a Note Notecard Folder...

Hello,

I created some little notecards quite a while ago, and came across them in my card box, so I decided to create a folder for them.

The folder ties closed with a ribbon.

Red, black and white - my favourite colours!

The flowers and vases were punched and die-cut with assorted punches and dies (mostly Cuttlebug dies).

This little folder will make a fantastic gift!

Thanks for visiting, back again soon!

Valentine Card in a Box...

Hello,

Sharing with you today another Card in a Box - I think once you have made one of these types of cards - you can't stop making them - they are so versatile...

I have a used a white base and all the panels are red cardstock which has been embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.

The hearts are created with Stampin' Up's I (heart) Heart stamp set and co-ordinating punch.  The larger scalloped hearts are die-cut with an Mpress Die.  I have also heat embossed the hearts using Stamp World's Gold Tinsel, Zing Glitter Red and Tim's Distress Fired Brick embossing powders.

The wording "Life is Beautiful" is from Stampin' Up's Style Beautiful Stamp Set.

The back panel simply says "Love" from Kaisercraft's "On This Day" set.

And, of course these cards fold flat to fit inside an envelope.

Have a beautiful day!

Summer Afternoon, Timeless Talk, Postage Due, Feeling Sentimental, Postage Collection Stampin' Up Sets....

Pushbikes, Penny Farthings, Bikes with flower baskets...

Hi there, I have created some more Bike themed cards for our friend Bronwyn's Cardiac Challenge. (Refer this post...   http://barbnshellcreations.blogspot.com.au/2014/07/bicycles-bicycles-bicycles-and-cardiac.html)

I created a set of 5 cards using pinks, purple and maroon coloured card, with a common metallic bronze paper for matting.  All the images are stamped with versamark and heat embossed with Judikins Metallic Copper Embossing Powder.

I created a 'paper' box using the envelope maker - I came across this fantastic site which tells you how to use your envelope maker to create a box -  all you need to do is have the measurements of your creation, type these measurements into the site and it works out exactly where you need to punch and score!!!  http://www.thecraftyowl.co.uk/boxbuster/  How easy is that!!  Thank-you so much Crafty Owl for making the boxbuster!!!

I have used Stampin' Up Images and Wording for all of the above cards as follows:

Summer Afternoon
Timeless Talk
Postage Due
Feeling Sentimental
Postage Collection
Loving Thoughts
Tea Shoppe

I used 3 Embossing Folders as follows:

Stampin' Up Textured Impressions
Cuttlebug - Spots and Dots and
Mpress - Heather Border

I also used ribbon, brads, rhinestones and tiny flowers.  As well as the cardstock and metallic bronze paper.

The Cardiac Challenge is still a couple of weeks away, so if you wished to donate and have not had the chance, any donations would be greatly appreciated for such a worthy cause!!

See you again soon,

Steampunk Canvas...

Sprockets, cogs, owls, gears.... All things Steampunk - gotta love them!!!

Hi, today I am sharing with you one of my most favourite projects that I have ever created! A Steampunk reverse canvas. (Reverse canvas meaning you turn the canvas around and create your project in/on the back of the canvas).

Now, please excuse the photos - with all the shinyness of the bling and silver card - it was really hard to take great photos!

The canvas I used is a 15cm x 15xm (6x6) canvas, which I covered with Stampin' Up paper. I then ran some silver foil cardstock through my cuttlebug using Tim Holtz Alterations Steampunk Texture Fade Embossing folder.  This is the background of the canvas - before I adhered this into the back I randomly swiped Black Stazon Ink all over it to give a weathered look.

Next, I set to work cutting cogs, sprockets, leaves, birdhouses, a fence, grass, a butterfly and two owls. (I will list at the bottom the dies etc I have used).

I used various cardstock and papers to create my canvas - black cardstock and metallic papers, shiny silvers and brushed silver cardstock.

Can you see the fairy charm and the cog charm?

Now for a list of the products....

Canvas 15cm x 15 cm
Stampin Up Paper to cover the canvas and for birdhouses
Black Card for sprockets
Black metallic paper for grass along bottom of canvas front
Silver Foil card for background and owls
Stampin Up Brushed silver cardstock for fence, leaves, cogs and butterfly
Tim Holtz Alterations Steampunk Texture Fade
Tim Holtz Alterations Garden Greens Bigz Die
Tim Holtz Alterations Gadget Gears Bigz Die
Taylored Expressions Die - Sprockets Border
Cheery Lyn Designs Die - Owls with Gears
Cheery Lyn Designs Die - Gears Butterfly
Impression Obsession Die - Birdhouses
Impression Obsession Die - Grass
Impression Obsession Die - Fence
Fairy Charm
Cog Charm
Assorted rhinestones and bling
Coil and reed embellishments
Stampin Up Brads in sprocket centres
American Crafts Zing Glitter Black emboss powder for detail on cogs
Black Stazon ink
Silver twine

Phew, I think that is all!  If there is anything I have forgotten - please let me know!!

Hope you like my Steampunk Garden as much as I do!?!

Cogs and Wheels Cards

Hello
Today we have a selection of cards featuring Cuttlebug Cogs and Wheels cut and emboss folder.

The first card has the embossed frame cut from red co'ordinations card, sanded lightly and rubbed over with metallic silver rub on paint. The centre section has been cut from silver foil card with the embossing highlighted and the sentiment stamped with black stazon ink. A lace design is randomly stamped in pink stazon. The winged heart is from Kaszazz Embrace Possibilities and is stamped with stazon on to acetate, and taped behind the red frame and over the silver section. The whole panel is matted with red foil paper and attached with dimensionals on to a black card base. A red rhinestone heart is attached to the stamped heart and a black rhinestone flourish and some red roses added to the bottom corner of the frame.

This card is made the same but has the outer frame in silver foil card, the inner frame in ivory card and the images from Kaszazz Carpe Diem set. Two die cut cogs have been embossed, rubbed over with metallic silver, and attached with a metal brad.

This card is in grey with the centre frame trimmed down, distressed, stamped with an embossed sentiment and attached over white card. The cogs embellishment has been embossed then heat embossed with pewter embossing powder. There are metallic brads in each corner.

The final card has an ivory base with the edge embossed in the folder and shaded. There is a layer of torn black card, then the frame of patterned paper, embossed, sanded, and torn back. The stamped embossed section is in silver foil card. There is a small cog, attached with silver brads in opposite corners of the centre section. The insert is stamped with images from Cogs, Carpe Diem and Embrace possibilities from Kaszazz.

Some inspiration for those of you who love the grungy, metallic style.
Till next time - Keep happy crafting

Cameo Congratulations

Hello again

There are many occasions when we wish to say Congratulations. Here is a card that is suitable for many of them.

For this card I have used Cuttlebug Carly die cut and embossing folder on blue Co'ordinations card, lightly trimmed the centre oval, sanded lightly and matted on to Stampin'up silver glimmer card. The congratulations sentiment from Kaszazz is embossed in silver powder. There is a mini silver brad in each corner and a clear rhinestone brad in the centre of the two larger flowers. The oval centre is attached with dimensionals. All edges have been distressed. The white satin and organdy ribbon bow is attached with a Kaszazz Cameo brad. The completed panel is then attached to a white card base. The insert has been stamped using Stampin'up images and soft sky ink.
Try a card like this to send your next congratulations.

Till next time, keep happy crafting

Pink Cards ...

Good Morning,

Today, I have made some Pink Cards... We all know how hard it is sometimes to say the right words or just to even find the right words to say - sometimes, there are times where just saying - "Thinking of You" or even "Sending Caring Thoughts" is all that is needed...

Think Pink!

The embellishments on these beautiful cards are from Kaisercraft Collectables - Botanical Odyssey. I have used  a selection of embossing Folders - Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, Stampin'Up Chevron and Modern Mosaic. Wording is from Stampin' Up Teeny Tiny Sentiments and Hero Arts - Special Note of Thanks Sets. Ribbon, brads, assorted embossing powders and rhinestones complete these cards.

The above cards are available for purchase (Australian Residents only) from our shop, please visit:
