Zutter Bound Cardstock Pocket Album...

Hello,

I have another cute album to share with you, made from patterned cardstock and bound simply with my Zutter.

I recycled the flower embellishment from a candle - it suited the colour of the card perfectly.

Each page is a pocket, featuring 3 or 4 photo mats.

A view of the back cover.

Ribbons and rub-ons complete the album.

See you soon,

Wide Strip Bound Album...

Hello,

This album, bound with strips of paper features a really simple assembly idea...

The pocket pages are joined by a wide strip of  (border edge punched) card.

Each page is a pocket which holds photo mats/tags and each joining strip is also a 'pocket' which holds smaller photo mats/tags.

The binding is also strips of card - very simple!

A view of the top of the album showing mini clips holding the photo mats/tags together.

Memories... where and how do you store yours?

Stampin'up- Lotus Blossom

Hello

Today's card has been created using Stampin'up Sale-a-bration set - Lotus Blossom

The card base is white. A lotus flower was stamped on the base layer using blushing bride ink. The sentiment is also stamped on the base layer using black ink.
Two lotus flowers are stamped on to a strip of pool party card with wisteria ink and the stems using pear and wasabi ink.

Two flowers were stamped in pink pirouette and blushing bride inks and one in wisteria ink on to white card. These were then cut out. The pool party strip was taped to the card front and the cut out lotus added on top of the stamped images, with dimensionals.
An insert was stamped and fixed in place, and the card finished by adding dazzling details to the dimensionals blossoms.

Thanks for visiting and until next time- be happy crafting

Mixed Media

Hello

Something different for you today. This hanging was created for a class on mixed media techniques.

I began with a piece of corrugated card recycled from a packing carton. It has the top layer stripped off and is randomly painted with gesso, dried and and randomly sprayed with a cola coloured mist. A torn piece of patterned paper is glued to the centre section using a glue and seal product.
A second piece of cardboard has several colours of acrylic paint layered on it, drying with a heat gun between each colour application. This causes the paint to bubble. This is then glued to the background panel and whole piece is then sealed with glue and seal, and mesh ribbon added to the top right and bottom left. A stamped, embossed sentiment (Kaszazz) was added and various die cuts and charms coloured with alcohol ink markers were applied. Eyelets and a hanging wire were added.

Closer views of the upper and lower sections of the piece.

Messy, but lots of fun. Have you tried your hand with mixed media?
Till next time- create

Dragon Albums...

Good Morning,

I have another obsession that I don't think I have shared with you!  I Love Dragons!!  Who wouldn't right??  I have dragon ornaments, dragon charms, dragon stickers.... and Dragon Mini Albums...

A couple of years ago, I attended a Craft Show in Brisbane, where from a stall named "Crafts R Us" I purchased a "Dragon'' Pack which included papers, dragon die-cuts, ribbon and brads all featuring .... Dragons!!

I used these products and some dragon papers I purchased (from K-mart I think?) to create these three mini albums.

Inside, each album features the same papers, and design etc (pocketed pages, tabbed pages etc) very similar, so I have only included a couple of the photos here.

The back covers are also fairly similar.

Are you also obsessed with Dragons?

We would love to hear from you...

Envelope Album...

Hi,

Today I have an envelope album to share with you, I started creating this album a while ago, and have just added the finishing touches...

The beautiful paper on the front cover is flocked so has that gorgeous 'touch feely' effect!  Flocked paper.... Love it!!

Each 'page' is created used a sealed and then slit open at the top envelope...

and in each envelope 'pocket',  I have added a photo mat using co-ordinating papers.

For the binding on this album, I have used the "U" shaped type binding - using three strips of card scored so that they fit inside each other, the envelopes slid onto the 'legs' of each strip and then taped/glued together and tied to the cover with a ribbon for extra embellishment.

This album features plenty of spaces for adding photos and / or journalling.

Thanks for visiting,
