Covered Notebooks featuring Dusty Attic, Kaisercraft, Make It Crafty, WOW Chipboards etc...

Hello,

Today's post is a bit of a long one... 7 notebooks - all purchased notebooks of which I have decorated the front covers or part thereof, featuring chipboard pieces from various companies. Paper and card layers, brads and rhinestones were also used to embellish these covers.

Notebook 1 features Large Cogs from Kaisercraft - painted with gold paint and coated with Ranger's Glossy Accents.

Notebook 2 features Dusty Attic's Anchors - simply painted with gold paint. Rounding the corners on the right hand side of the card layers to match the notebook is a tip to change the overall appearance.

Notebook 3 features Dusty Attic's Birdcage #2. This notebook already had the black binding with the black elastic enclosure. I adhered the birdcage, bird and rhinestones directly to the patterned cover, also adding a strip of gold glitter washi tape down the left hand side.

Notebook 4 features an amazing die from Dusty Attic called Devine Divas, which I coated with a glitter paint. The beautiful pink laced frame is a paper frame from my stash - unknown brand.

Notebook 5 features a winged heart from Make It Crafty - Steampunk Hearts, painted in black and coated with Ranger's Glossy Accents.

Notebook 6 - I am unsure of the brand of this frame and the butterflies - both from my stash but had no packaging. I have left these chipboards raw to co-ordinate with the gold colour of the notebook.

Notebook 7 features 2 corner dies - both from WOW Words or Whatever, one again painted in black and coated with Glossy Accents. This notebook also had a patterned cover.

Phew made it to the end! Are you a notebook addict like myself?

I have left some of the chipboards / wooden shapes natural and have painted the others using acrylic paints and metallic paints.

These amazing seagulls were Dusty Attic Chipboards...

I have also added rhinestones, pearls, googly eyes and ribbon for added extra touches.
Heading back to my craft room to create more cards using goodies in my stash.

Graphic 45 Staples Tags, Birdsong Collection Papers...

Good morning,

I loved creating these Tags!  Graphic 45 has in their Staples Collection - Artist Trading Tags of varying sizes - these Kraft ones were a great way to use up the scraps I had left from their Birdsong Collection of papers.

From this...

To these...

The butterflies used throughout the tags were punched using Stampin' Up's Bitty Butterfly Punch and Elegant Butterfly punch.

I added a layer of blue paper from my stash...

The layout of each tag was slightly different - to make best use of the paper scraps...

The chipboard pieces on two of the tag fronts are Dusty Attic Nameplate #3...

Which were painted/stained with Ranger Distress Stain - Tarnished Brass...

Highlighting was done with Stardust gellyroll pens and glossy accents...

And of course, rhinestones, pearls and co-ordinating ribbons completed this project.

Sad to say - I have now used up all of this beautiful collection of papers, but happy to say I used every last bit!!

Have a fantastic day, whatever you may be doing!

My Mind's Eye - Sleigh Bells Ring - Branches Christmas Card - Owl

Hello,

I am sure you all know...  I have an obsession with owls... so as soon as I saw these Branches from My Mind's Eye - Sleigh Bells Ring paper range - I knew I needed to have an owl sitting in them!

I die-cut a Spellbinder's Holiday Winter owl, gave him a green scarf and created a snowflake with Whiff of Joy Snowflake Trio die for the bottom right corner of the card.  Before adding the snowflake to the card, I embossed it with Ranger's Embossing Tinsel - Bridal.  The "Merry Christmas" is a Dusty Attic Chipboard which I have coloured with gel pens and then coated in glossy accents.

How cute is this owl? It looks like the paper was made just for him!!

Only a couple more Christmas creations to share with you...
