Creating with BaRb-Stampin'up-Memorable Moments-Butterflies

Memorable Moments-Butterflies
Hello
A special birthday card today. This was made for a very special young lady in my life.

The card is DL sized and uses shimmery white base, pretty in pink matt, ribbon and paper, and whisper white for the front panel.
The flowering flourish is stamped in pear pizazz, the butterflies (papillon potpourri) in pretty in pink, and the number and sentiment in versamark embossed with espresso powder.
The happy birthday was stamped and embossed, matted to the pink card and fixed to the card front.
The envelope is die cut using small scalloped envelope, stamped with the age,  fixed to the card front, and the flourish then stamped.
The butterflies in both sizes were stamped and punched , shaped, and attached with dimensionals. Their wings were painted with frosty white shimmer.
A small bow was fixed to the envelope.
Pearls to the front panel and flourish, and rhinestones to the butterfly bodies added the finishing touch.
A really beautiful card.

Bo Bunny Head Over Heels - Love Card

Love,

It is beautiful isn't it - where would we be without it!  I have a beautiful Easel Card to show you today.

I created this card using papers from the Bo Bunny Head Over Heels range - Boyfriend and Head Over Heels.  Tim Holtz Dies - Tattered Florals, Tattered Leaves and Elegant Flourishes have been my favourite dies of the moment - I have used them on a couple of projects lately!

I made the card with a double front layer - I offset each layer each in a different direction. Lots of Ribbon and Bling of course....

This is the inside of the card, I used an Mpress Die to cut out the fabulous heart.  Don't you just love the colours!!

For a more detailed list of instructions and products, please got to http://www.wildaboutscrap-dt.blogspot.com.au/2014/03/bo-bunny-easel-card.html#more

And don't forget, while you are over at Wild About Scrap the are having their Birthday Sale until the 30th April 2014  - so happy shopping!!

Love...   Always and Forever,

Creating with BaRb-Stampin'up-Petals a plenty

Petals a plenty
Hello

A happy card today.
This card is black and tangerine. I have used colour core coordinations card, embossed in petal folder and sanded lightly back. I have rounded all corners.
The embossed panel is matted to tangerine card, and has tangerine ribbon wrapped across and knotted. This panel is then taped to the black card base.
Two flowers are die cut in foam using Blossom party die and layered together, and two leaves again in foam are die cut using Autumn accents die. These are then all fixed to the card front and a sparklet added to the flower centre.
The happy day sentiment(from Bloomin marvellous set) is stamped in tangerine onto white card  then punched with the oval punch. A tangerine scalloped oval punchout is matted behind. This is then fixed to the card front with dimensionals.
Quick and easy, but bright and effective.
Till next time-Happy crafting

Mini Album-Woodlands-Children's

Hello

Do you have photos of your children or grandchildren and would like to keep them somewhere special?
Perhaps you have a friend with a little one and are looking for a gift?
These little albums are the perfect answer. Children love to look at them as they grow, and they make a wonderful keepsake.

The album measures 21 x 14 cm and has 5 internal pages. It is bound with hinged rings to allow for easy removal of pages, and to allow room for plenty of inserts.

These first two pages have a small envelope with a folded tag to write details, and a frame with a sliding tab to add a photo insert.

The left page is for a photo and has a tag to add details. The other page has an embossed mat for a photo, tucked behind a pocket on which to write details.

The left page again has room for a photo and a stamped text box for details, and the right page has a pocket with a slide in tag for another photo or a small story, or to hold records etc.

The left page for photo or certificate also has a stamped text area, and the right page has a removable tag for details tucked behind the owl.

The right page here has an envelope for a lock of hair or other treasure, and also has a removable tag.

The final pages. The left one has a photo frame with a removable photo size template. Simply peel off, trim photo to size and then attach to frame. Template fits frame on both pages.

A lovely solution I think.
This album will be available to purchase in our store.

Gift Box

Hello Everyone

With Easter and Mother's Day coming up, this little box will add an extra special touch to your gift.

I have used Stampin'up turquoise card for the box. It is an open box with an attached folder style, wrap around lid and base. For the top and bottom panels I used Spellbinders Resplendent rectangles dies. The top panel and inside the lid panel are cut from patterned paper using one of the inner dies. There is also a section cut from the lid panel which  has a patterned paper insert. A ribbon to tie the box was added inside the folder before attaching the box.

Blueberry ice stickles was added to the base and lid and punched branch and flowers with a rhinestone centre to the lid.
Why not present your gift in one?
Till next time- Happy crafting.

Dusty Attic Tool Caddy

Hi,

Do you have a Tool Caddy? - If you are looking for one Dusty Attic has the perfect size caddy for your everyday crafty tools...

I created this design for Veronica over at Wild About Scrap.  I used papers from the Bo Bunny Range - Head Over Heels.  The beautiful flower was made using Tim Holtz Tattered Florals, Tattered Leaves and Elegant Flourishes.  I also used cogs from the Make It Crafty chipboard range.

The two ends - notice                                                                          the placement of the cogs   (Over the hearts) - love it!

The other side.

I used these fabulous colours for a couple of reasons - one being that a lot of my storage off the page creations in my craft room are done in these colours.  The one reason I used these colours is because I am going to use my Tool Caddy for my favourite everyday go to craft tools, so it only makes sense that I should use my favourite colours as well!!!

For the detailed instructions on how I created my Dusty Attic Tool Caddy and a list of products I used, please go to the blog for

Will be back soon with the other creations I made using the same Bo Bunny Papers,
Happy to see you,

Stampin'up-Creating with BaRb-The Open Sea-Desk calendar

The Open Sea-Desk calendar
Hello
I recently had a request for ideas to make a desk calendar.
This one features the Open sea stamp set.

I have used espresso card to form the base and navy card for the front panel.
The front is embossed in the clouds folder using coordinations card and lightly sanded back, and then some white craft ink is smudged across the top. The waves and bottom strip are torn paper. The calendar pad is matted onto a piece of card, some brads inserted, and some knotted twine wrapped around. It was then attached to the panel. The ship is black embossed onto white card and cut out. The paper waves were taped to the panel with the ship tucked between. The lighthouses are die cut from sahara card and have daffodil card behind the openings for light. The anchor is die cut from espresso card. The white seagulls are also die cut.
The base of the calendar was then assembled and the front panel attached. The waves are highlighted with dazzling details.
I made an accompanying tag using the second lighthouse from the set. The background is cloud embossed vellum. Using teeny tags stamp and white card I punched a tag to simulate a message in a bottle and tucked it among the waves.
If you would like measurements or more details, I am happy for you to contact me by email.
Till next time- Happy crafting

Multi Media Canvas - Creating With Riss

Good Morning,

I have a fantastic project to show you, created by the beautiful and very talented Riss.  It is her version of the Finnabair Mixed Media / Multi Media Canvas.

There are so many elements to this beautiful canvas and of course not to mention many hours works involved in creating something so visually exciting!  First, Riss prepared the canvas by painting with Gesso, this acts as a primer for your paint / mists etc.  Then, chose her main image which is a cutout from a magazine.  After collecting elements from everywhere and I mean everywhere - (have a look closely - you will find stationery, things from the sewing box, things from the tool shed, money, keys.....) Riss then adhered all her goodies to the canvas using a hot glue gun - yes imagine the glue cobwebs on a project like this - I am sure those of you who have used a hot glue gun will know what I mean!!

Top Left corner.

Chipboards, peg, bottletop nest with beaded eggs, tap washers, flowers...

.
Bottom Left Corner.

Beads, Coils of chain, money, a magnet, a rivet, paperclips, a key .....

Top Right Corner.

Chipboard, hairclip, beaded lady beetle, lace with a buckle, flowers and beads .....

Bottom Right Corner.

Lace Doily, Tassel, paperclip, beads, wire and mesh dragonfly ....

And the list goes on.. .. of the many, many elements Riss added to her Canvas.  After gluing everything into place, Riss then coated the whole canvas (Except for the image) with Gesso again - using a paintbrush to ensure that every surface was coated (especially in all the little fiddly places between elements).  She then coated her canvas with Mist which we created using Perfect pearls powder mixed with water and a slightly watered down acrylic paint (to make it more brushable into all the fiddly spots).  This required a couple of coats to build up the layers to the vibrant colour she wanted and then the drying time!!

How amazing is this... one of those things you could look at for hours and still find things!
Happy Creating...

Treasure Chest

Hello
Today I am sharing with you a chest which I have created.
Great for a special gift, or as a friend suggested, perfect as an Easter egg casket.

The base of the chest is an open box with a collar attached around the inside top and extending 1.5 cm. above the top. This is to hold the lid in place and to support the shape.

The lid is curved and has rounded ends and extends over the top and down the back which is attached to the back of the base.
When making the lid, the front section has to be attached to the ends first, then the curved section, and finally the back edges.
This is then attached to the back of the box base.

I have covered the chest with patterned paper (from my stash), then wrapped a ribbon round the top of the base section.
Tulle ribbon roses from Stampin'up are fixed round and over the lid sections.
I have used metallic paper to add a punched strip across the front base and scalloped oval and flower punched trim to the four corners. A rhinestone is added to the two front corners.
A silver foil embossed, die cut padlock (Spellbinders) is added to the front base with a small brass key

Flowers (from Petal loo), die cut leaves (also Spellbinders), bakers twine and rhinestones embellish the front and lid of the chest. I have tucked a couple of decorative pins, which I  made using headpins and acrylic beads, behind the  larger flower on the lid.

There are three rhinestones tucked into the lower right corner of the front lid.

I hope you have enjoyed today's visit and have found this project inspiring.

Tim Holtz Tattered Florals, Tattered Leaves, Elegant Flourishes - Notebook

How are you?

Notebooks are a great gift - everyone uses notebooks right?  This notebook is deep purple in colour - so when I chose my colours for my embellishments I have kept them fairly neutral.  I die cut all my embellishments using Tim Holtz Elegant Flourishes, Tattered Florals and Tattered Leaves and decorated the front cover as follows:

I stamped onto the leaves and the flowers using Distress Ink Gathered Twigs a Prima Cling Stamp - Script. I lightly sponged the edges of the leaves and the flowers using the same colour.  Then added rhinestones and edged the leaves and flowers using my Sparkle Gel Pen.

If you are anything like me - I have notebooks all over the house and even in my handbag...
Happy Note writing...

Mini Album - Max's Backyard

Hi There,

Back again with another Mini Album to show you.  I have used these products (Max's Backyard) before for a mini, I still had some leftover - so now I have used them all...

I had a collection of goodies including stickers, 3d stickers, chipboard embellishments and glitter rub-ons to use.  I decided I would create a mini for a gardener or some gardening photos.  One of my Daughters is a Ladybeetle addict and there was a few ladybeetle embellishments in the collection so I have given the album to her - she has some great photos of pumpkins, pineapples and other veges etc that she has grown so she can use the mini for these.

I created the album from a biscuit box which I covered in paper from my stash.

Front Cover I used cardstock and chipboard embellishments, rub-ons and bling.
Side Version - the binding I used was really simple - I used my Crop-a-dile to punch a hole at the top and one at the bottom, added an eyelet to each hole, hole punched my pages in the same positions and threaded a ribbon through - really simple...

Side View of the pages - tabs and stickers and rubons and doodling to finish the page edges.
The pages were created by using a whole 12x12 sheet - I cut 2" off the side to make it 12x10 then folded these in half and taped them together for extra thickness to hold photos.

Back Cover

Lots of green and lots of bugs, beetles and butterflies - perfect for a gardening mini!

Hope you enjoyed my Mini Album of Max's Backyard!

Wedding Cards - For the Bridesmaid - Steampunk and Flowers

Hello, Hello

Todays cards are for the Beautiful Bridesmaids... I have shown you my cards for the Bride and for the Groom - now for the Bridesmaid.  I have made four cards and will show them all to you here in one post.  There is something for different tastes and the first cards are for the Steampunk Bridesmaid...

Don't you just love her???  She is a Make it Crafty Rubber Stamp and her name is Annabelle - I bought her from Stampin Stuff in Cairns.  I embossed the card base and the top label.  Layered a Stampin' Up Brushed silver Label - Spellbinders.  Die-cut some cogs in the brushed silver. Handstitched 3 silver crosses and added some rhinestones and sparkle pen to Annabelle.  Tucked in a Thank-you tag made with a Stampin Up Punch.

This beautiful Steampunk Girl is also a Make It Crafty Rubber Stamp - her name is Elizabeth J... Cool huh!
I used a lot of the same materials as above to create this fantastic card.

This is Miss Anya of course - from the Miss Anya Collection made by The Greeting Farm.  Black embossed, raised on an oval die through which I threaded silver ribbon, then layered onto an embossed white layer onto a silver background.

A splash of colour for this one - CC Designs Swiss Miss - Rosalie with Roses is the name of this gorgeous little 'Bridesmaid".  I used patterned paper from my stash, handcut the bottom two banners and punched the triangular banner with a Stampin Up Punch.  The Love Tag is also a Stampin Up Punch.  The charm says 'Made with Love'.  I used rhinestones and my sparkle pen on this card also.

Phew, nice long post - maybe I should have said to make sure you had a cuppa with this one!!  I wanted to show you all four cards at once - cards to suit totally different tastes.. Steampunk and flowers. (If you wish to know the exact brands etc that I have used - please just send me an email or comment)

These cards will also be available in our online store - don't forget to pop in and have a look at all our goodies for sale!!!!

Love all things Steampunk!

Creating with BaRb-Stampin'up-Fine Feathers-Indigo and Eggplant

Fine Feathers-Indigo and Eggplant
Hello
These are the other 2 cards I created in the feathers set

I have photographed them together because I created them both at the same time.
I had a piece of white card which I stamped with the peacock feather in versamark and embossed in gold powder. I then randomly sponge swirled island indigo and eggplant inks over them, and then reheated with the heat gun. This remelted the embossing powder and lifted it to the surface.
I cut off one end and divided the other section in half. One of the equal sections was matted onto dot embossed gold card, and the other two sections on to plain gold gard.
For the eggplant card, I stamped the feather randomly over the front with versamark, then attached the embossed matted panel. For the sentiment I coloured Label love stamp outline with marker. The words were inked with versamark and gold embossed. I then punched out with Artisan label. It was then matted with a second punched gold label cut in half to frame. I coated it with versamark and clear embossing powder and heated. When coooled I repeated the process. This was then fixed with dimensionals. A rhinestone to the top left of the panel finished the design.
For the indigo card, the front was embossed in stylish stripes folder. The long embossed stamped panel was then taped to the card. On the smaller panel I stamped the words from Sassy salutations and embossed in Espresso powder. This panel was fixed with dimensionals to the card front, and rhinestones were added.
Enjoy
Till next time
