Stampotique Christmas Cards - Jingle your own damn bells...

Ho, Ho, Ho - Jingle your own damn bells!!!

I think I am obsessed with Stampotique Stamps!  Check these ones out!

O Joy...

Santa Baby...

Oh My Dear...

I used Stampotique Stamps - images as above (all three images for the stamps were designed by Daniel Torrente - seriously awesome aren't they!?!).  I also used another Stampotique stamp - Jingle your own damn bells - hehe cracks me up!.

First I created my background - using paints randomly in sections and then I added stars (also with paint) and a star stencil.

Finishing touches of ribbon, brads and little bells completed these fun, quirky Christmas cards.

I can't help thinking of that saying -
When you want something done right, you have to do it yourself!
So, in this case...

Jingle your own damn bells!
Hehe,
See you soon

Dragon Albums...

Good Morning,

I have another obsession that I don't think I have shared with you!  I Love Dragons!!  Who wouldn't right??  I have dragon ornaments, dragon charms, dragon stickers.... and Dragon Mini Albums...

A couple of years ago, I attended a Craft Show in Brisbane, where from a stall named "Crafts R Us" I purchased a "Dragon'' Pack which included papers, dragon die-cuts, ribbon and brads all featuring .... Dragons!!

I used these products and some dragon papers I purchased (from K-mart I think?) to create these three mini albums.

Inside, each album features the same papers, and design etc (pocketed pages, tabbed pages etc) very similar, so I have only included a couple of the photos here.

The back covers are also fairly similar.

Are you also obsessed with Dragons?

We would love to hear from you...

Lady Beetle Addiction

Hello,

Hehe - caught your interest with the title didn't I??  Who doesn't love Lady Beetles??  Some people call them Lady Bugs same thing....

Our Guest Designer - Riss - is highly addicted to Lady Beetles - she has pencil cases, pens, brooches, blankets, charms - lots and lots of Lady Beetleness (is that a word?) - she loves them!!!

Riss was 10 years old when she made this canvas - she has used a few different types of Beetles here - Charms, puffy stickers, wrapping paper and hand-drawn images of Beetles - fantastic! Love it, Love it!!

Riss created this canvas with a Multi Media style background - paper tearing and tissue paper to create texture, then added her collection of Lady Beetles.  The red, black and green really stand out against the neutral colours of the background.

How could you not love Lady Beetles - must be the red and black combination of colours!!

Enjoy!

Stampin' Up Aviary, Punch Bunch, Owl Together Now, Confetti

Good afternoon,

Owl addicts - have a look at this really cute project I have created....  Owly Bookmarks!!

My Teacher always gives the children in our class books as their End of year / Christmas gift - so I have been making a bookmark each to go with their books - great idea isn't it??  A personalised owl bookmark - what more could you want??

For the Girls I used pink, purple and black.  I have used blue, red and black for the Boys.

The large black owl in the bottom corner is from Stampin' Up's - Punch Bunch.  Flying owl and side peek-a-boo owl are from and old Stampin' Up Set - Owl Together Now and the little owl is from Stampin' Up Set - Aviary.  The itty-bitty alphabet is from Stampin' Up's Set - Confetti.  (Last year I used the little leaves from Confetti but this time I thought I would use the alphabet instead!).  The Children's names are stamped using a PaperCraft set named Italic Alphabet.

I stamped a "handmade by" stamp on the back, then laminated, rounded corners and added ribbons to finish them off.

A very practical present - don't you think?
 Create a bookmark today!

Christmas Beads and Phone Charms

Good Morning,

Wednesday Woo Hoo - another addiction revealed - luckily my addictions are good for me!!  This addiction is...... making phone charms.... not for me to keep (thank goodness) but to give away as gifts.  Most of my friends and relatives would tell you that they have at least 1 phone charm that I have made for them.  I think the first phone charms I made were the Angels I blogged about a few days ago.  The second ones were these beautiful dragonflies....

Every Christmas I try to give Family / Friends a phone charm - here are a few examples of some of the ones I have given - I have also made other Christmas Trees, Snowflakes etc...

Last year I found these kits at Beads Online and had to buy them!  I also purchased more of the domino / wooden tiles /beads thinking they were the same - but they were actually smaller and had holes in the sides as well - so I just wired beads through those holes as well - except for the black ones (the non Christmas ones) - I just left the side holes empty.

The dominoes were blank, I used diamond glaze to adhere the picture and then added another layer of diamond glaze - and it is as easy as that!

This is a closer view of the Santa ones.

I chose small sections of some of my favourite papers to make these ones.

I have also made many other charms - owls, Australiana etc - your imagination is only limited by your bead choice!!  What charms do you have hanging from your phone or your bag??

I will have to decide which charms I am making this Christmas.....
Have a great day!

Australiana Mini Canvas

G'day Mate,

Can you be any more Australian than that??  I was very fortunate to be able to Homestay some Japanese Students a few weeks ago.  We were invited to have dinner with the Teachers who were travelling with the students and as a sort of 'thank you' we were asked to bring a small gift each.  I created this Australia themed Mini Canvas - told you I was addicted!!

The background paper is covered in a boomerang print, I stamped, coloured with markers, then clear embossed all the animals.  I printed the Australia image off the internet and backed it with blue card to make it stand out, and the flag is a sticker.  Added some ribbon to the top left corner and across the bottom.  My husband suggested to add the koala key-ring and it worked perfectly!
I clear varnished the easel and I glued the canvas to the easel to hold it all together better.
Then I made the box to present the canvas in .....

The kangaroos on the paper are shiny foil like, and I made a small card featuring a koala to complete the gift box.  The Teacher who received my gift loved it!

Last year, I travelled to Japan and had the opportunity to Homestay with a Japanese Family myself.  This is the canvas I created as a thank-you to them.....

So much simpler - and now that I look at it - it looks kind of bare (Hehe - I was going to type bear - but "a Koala is Not a Bear").  I hung an Australian charm from the bottom.

So if you have seen my Pinterest Boards this explains why I have a Board named Shell's Australiana.
I have had a few Homestay Students now - from Japan and also America.  Quite an experience if the Students don't speak much English!!

Oyasuminasai!
Which means Goodnight in English or
maybe I should say:
Goodnight, don't let the bed bugs bite!!

Oh No!  I have just realised I have another addiction - (not that there is a problem with that!) - creating mini canvases.....  I have pinned many of them onto my Pinterest Inspiration board - have a look and you will see what I mean by addiction!!  Following is the Mini Canvas I created for my beautiful Mother BaRb .....

As you can see - I am in love with all the dressform / pattern / sewing themed dies, stamps and embellishments available !!

Sorry - crooked photo...  Acrylic painted easel.

This is the card I made to go with the Canvas.

As I was so happy with the result - I also created a blue Canvas and card.  Love It?!?

I Love Owls

Hoot morning... hehe ... I mean Good morning!  I have not told you yet -  I am also an Owl addict! Owl pillows, owl bags, ornaments, pictures, did I mention jewellery...  and just a few other things!
As part of my Christmas Gift from Barb, I received some Owl Sticky Notes - I had them sitting on my craft table for a while until - I saw in a stationery shop one day - a folder with co-ordinating post-it notes in - what a brilliant idea - so I went home found the perfect thick paper and this is what I created...

The Owl sticker on the front was clear so I matted it to make it stand out more.  I used a strip of green owl ribbon - which was actually part of a Christmas ribbon range.  Double-sided taped the sticky notes in and aren't they beautiful!

Have a Hooty Day!

100% Addicted

Good Morning, a friend of mine once said to me that in everything that she does she always gives 100%.... and that had me thinking.... do I do that ???  Mmmmm - do I give 100% (or does anyone give 100%) in say doing the washing or other equally exciting (haha) housework activities.. no I would have to say that - in doing these fun things on auto-pilot I guess I don't give them 100%!!!
Do You???

Boring activities aside - do your hobbies count when putting in 100%?? I hope so because so many of you - very talented and creative people out there in blog land appear to me as though you give more than 100% - and that is amazing!!!

I organised some of my Jewellery the other day and then had to take some photos to share with you.  I think - and please tell me if you feel otherwise - that I have given my 100% in my beading addiction I mean my beading hobby!!  (Now please don't get me wrong I am not sharing these to show off - I am just... well... sharing .....)

Admittedly, I had made some of these earrings to sell and there was left-overs, when I added my own earrings to this collection it was a bit scary!!  It's amazing how many earrings a utensil holder can actually hold!  Now onto the bracelets....

Who said you needed to use a wine rack to hold wine?? I grouped the bracelets roughly in their colourgroups or their style whichever I was happy with and (shhh I am not going to tell you how many their are...)  but I will say I have worn every one of them at least once.. that is at least!!!

I have not hung all of my beaded necklaces - because as well as the beaded ones, I also have a few (yeah I said a few) pendants on chains as well.

My friend did say to give 100%!! Got that covered!!

Do you give 100% in all you do??  There's your thought for the day....

Bye
