Kaszazz Motorbike, Stampin' Up Clockworks Thank-you Card

Monday already!

Weekends fly by too fast sometimes!  Today I am showing you a Thank-you Card I created using Kaszazz Motorbike as the main image.  I used watercolour paper and black embossing powder for the image - some watercolour papers are a bit more 'textured' than others so the embossing on this particular paper did not turn out all that great - seemed to be rather patchy - but as it was a grungy type card it was ok in this case.  I had originally planned to colour the Motorbike but as I continued on with the card felt that it didn't need to be coloured.

The card base is black card, I then mounted grey card on silver metallic paper.  I created a background on the grey using Stampin' Ups smoky slate and Stampin' Ups Extreme Elements.  I then used black ink and stamped the cogs from Stampin' Ups Clockworks set randomly in the corners.  The Thank You is from another Stampin' Up set Pretty Petites that has a matching punch, I mounted this on a layer of silver metallic paper also.  Black rhinestones and a cog completed the card.

Back soon with another project,

Christmas Tags

Hi there,

Someone told me the other the day how many days it is til Christmas!!! I won't pass that juicy piece of information on - you may have the same reaction I did ....  ("Eeeeek - I have too many things to do between now and then!!!!")

Anyhow - I have started my Christmas goodies for the year and here are some of the tags - I will pin the rest on my Pinterest Board if you are interested in seeing more.  I have tried to use a lot of things that I have in my stash already - so I used wooden shapes, stickers, metal shapes, stamps - the only new thing I purchased is a couple of Kaisercraft's Christmas collectables packs.

Just a bit of a variety for you - all fairly simple - stamping, embossing, foam mounting pre-made die cuts etc.  For the bling hanging at the top of the tags - I have just cut up a Christmas Decoration - the long beaded strands you put on your tree - very cheap and effective and as you can see you only need a small length - I have used gold beads and a red strand that also has stars on it - when you buy them in 3 metre lengths - just think how many tags could you make with that!!!

Happy Tag Creating!

Stampin'up Secret Garden

Hello Everyone

We have now hit November, and summer is certainly here. Today a little visit to Secret Garden.

This first version was made as either a card or a stand alone art piece. The base of the design is on natural white card. The backing piece is pool party co'ordinations which has been embossed with the cloud folder. Papers were from print poetry stack, and dsp pad. Flowers and leaves are in primrose, summer starfruit and gumball green, stamped in versamark and clear embossed. The Telephone box is from Feeling sentimental. The sentiments from Sassy salutations and Word play. Pearls and a build-a brad were also used.
The idea of the stand alone piece, is that a photo can be inserted in place of the stamped telephone box image. This would make a lovely end of year memento.

This second version is a mini canvas and also utilises Summer afternoon stamp set.
Card is bashful blue and vanilla with the leaves in olive. paper is also olive. Image is stamped in espresso, coloured with watercolour pencils and an aquabrush and the plant pot is coated in crystal effects.
The flowers are stamped in versamark and embossed with tangerine powder. They are touched up with shimmer paint. The leaves are clear embossed.
Butterflies are die cut with beautiful wing embosslits from marina mist and vellum. A couple of twisted wire strands, a paper daisy, a pearl and some rhinestones for the flower centres finish off.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit today.
Until next time

Heartfelt Creations Rose Creations, Stampinstyle Image J2682 - Birthday Card

Hello,

How's things?  Busy, Busy - like me??  There are so many things happening at the moment - not enough time in a day!

I have a beautiful card to show you - I created this for a friend for her Birthday.  The background image is a Stampinstyle Stamp no. J2682.  I re-stamped just the Dressform part of the stamp with Versamark and embossed with Judikins embossing powder and foam taped it over the background image.  I added a gold ribbon belt with a pearl belt buckle.  She even has a pearl necklace to match!  The ribbon across the bottom of her form is Stampin' Ups Ruffle Stretch Ribbon in Baked Brown Sugar.

The roses are die-cut using Heartfelt Creations Rose Creations Shapeabilities.  I stamped portions of the smaller flowers with the background stamp, gold embossed a swirl image on them all and then spritzed them with Perfect Pearls Gold powder mixed in a mini mister with water.  The Brads are Stampin' Up Glimmer Brads.  The button holding the gold ribbon is a Stampin' Up Very Vintage Designer Button.

The lighter coloured card that I used was a Stampin Up card which is no longer available - I think it was called Confetti...  I mounted the stamped image on a gold glitter paper, double mounted it on more of the Confetti Card and my card base is Stampin Ups Baked Brown Sugar. I added some Pearls in the corners and hasn't it turned out fantastically!!

Will post again soon - thanks for enjoying our Blog!

Creating with BaRb blog- Stampin'up-Christmas Collectables

Christmas Collectables
Hello,

A simple but lovely card today, using this years ornament punch and stamp set.

This card uses Cherry cobbler, brushed gold and white card.
The ornaments stamps are from Christmas collectables, and best of Christmas sets, stamped in versamark onto gold foil card, and embossed with cherry cobbler powder.
The card base is cherry cobbler with the front embossed in stylish stripes folder. The brushed gold mat is embossed in tulips frame folder. The white section is also embossed in stripes but is used on the reverse side.
The card spine is wrapped in cherry bakers twine before the insert was added, and tied on the top corner with a couple of small metal gold bells added to the bow.
Cherry brads were placed in the corners of the gold mat, bakers twine to hang the ornaments was taped to the back of the white front, and this was then attached with gold brads. This was all then fixed to the card. The ornaments had a small bow tied to each and were then attached with dimensionals over the twine. A dab of cherry dazzling details finished off the bows.
I hope you enjoy this card. Until next time.

Stampin'up-Christmas Bag of tags

Hi Everyone
Today I am sharing with you, my latest set of Christmas tags.

These tags were all cut with a sizzix die. Most of them are on natural ivory card with a couple in crumb cake and cherry cobbler. White and gumball green card are also used.
All tags were first shaded with distress inks (antique linen, fired brick and forest moss).
The back of them was then stamped with the sentiment from Wishing you.
The papers are all from Season of style paper pad.
Stamp sets used are Warmth and Wonder, Christmas Messages, Christmas collectibles, Best of Christmas, Festive flurry, Joyful Christmas and Wishing you. Matching punches and dies were also used, as was my favourite bird punch.

Silver and black embossing powders are used and various embellishments, ribbons and twine in silver and cherry cobbler. Clear stardust pen adds some highlights.
I hope this gives you some Christmas inspiration and thank you for visiting.

Make It Crafty - Mushroom House - Mini Canvas

Good Morning - another beautiful Sunday morning!!

Don't you just love mushrooms - don't like to eat them (only on pizza of course).  This beautiful mushroom is a Make it Crafty rubber stamp named - Mushroom House.  I needed to make a birthday gift for a person who loves fairies - I have angel stamps, many little girl stamps, princess stamps but surprisingly - no fairy stamps.....   So, when flicking through my catalogue of stamps - (yes every stamp that I own I have stamped into a catalogue i.e. a ring binder - so I know what I have and where to find it in my craft room) - I saw this Mushroom House and knowing I have fairy charms thought it would be perfect!

I stamped and black embossed the mushroom house image and coloured it with Twinkling H2Os.  I used diamond glaze and glitter to 'highlight' white parts of the mushroom.  First I covered the canvas with patterned paper (freebie from a magazine).  Used part of a strip of grass along the bottom from a Sizzix Grass Die.  Added a saying which reads:

Live among the flowers
Dance with the petals
Laugh in the sunshine

Inspiring isn't it! The saying is from Prickley Pears stamp set - Flowers.  I black embossed this on white, mounted it on the same patterned paper and them mounted it again on black to make it stand out.  I then added my Fairy charm with a brad and sat this in behind the corner of the house.  I hadn't originally put the sun on there but felt it was lacking something - my beautiful crafty friend (who I was crafting with at the time) suggested a "sun" to fit in with the saying - so I used the sun from Pollycraft Surf's Up stamp set.  I clear embossed this on yellow card and it goes perfectly - thank you crafty friend - great suggestion!

Added a red ribbon around the bottom and made a double bow for the corner and ta-da finished!
This was one of those 'secret' birthday presents - so I have no idea of the recipients reaction - hope she loved it!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
