Loralie Art Stamps - Still Flower...

Hello,

Flowery cards to share with you today, these feature a Stamp set from Loralie Art Stamps named Still Flower. First, I created the backgrounds with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks, sponging through a stencil to create another 'layer'. I then stamped the flower images on white card and coloured them with a waterbrush and the distress oxide inks.

I left the flowers in the first card plain, meaning I stamped, coloured, cut out and adhered the images to the card.

However, after adhering the flower to the second card, I have doodled on it and around it and even created a doodled border for the card.

I really enjoyed this process and will have to create more cards like this. I purchased this stamp set, plus another Loralie Art Stamps - First Flower set from a Crafty Market, and am yet to create something with the other one.

Doodling means to scribble absent-mindedly, although I am unsure if doodling in the right word for a lot of the doodling we see these days hehehe... I think a lot of todays doodling is not so random!

Happy doodling!

Colour wash Cards - Kaszazz

Hello

Hope your day is going well.

Oatmeal card has been used for these designs. Images have been stamped and white embossed on to an oatmeal panel, which when completed was layered on to coloured card, then on to an oatmeal base. Butterflies were stamped and white embossed on to additional oatmeal card, then coloured and punched out.

This flower is Lotus blossom.

These images are Floral Trellis and Spring Flowers.

The stamped embossed images were lightly coloured with a white chalk marker. When dry they were then painted over with inks and a water brush. They were then heated lightly with a heat tool to dry off. This also reheated the embossing and raised it above the colour.
Completed panels were matted on to a coordinating coloured card and added to the bases.
Butterflies were added by gluing the centre body and mounting the wings.
Gemstones were added to butterfly bodies and card corners, and stickles to wings and flower centres.

Oriental 16th Birthday Card featuring Kaisercraft Hanami Garden...

Hello,

Today's card would have to be one of my all time favourite cards that I have created!! I love the whole Oriental feel of the card - the colours, the pattern, the design - just stunning!

I have used a chocolate coloured base card, with a soft pink layer under the patterned paper which is from Kaisercraft's Paper Pad - Hanami Garden.

The 16 is die-cut from pink glitter card and coated in Ranger's Glossy Accents.

The Happy Birthday is a Kaszazz stamp called Happy Birthday Bold. The Lantern and the Temple are from two different Stamp It sets - siset02gs and Asian.

Just beautiful, don't you agree? I wish I was right there, sitting under the tree! Maybe one day...

Hope you are having a relaxing day,

Anniversary Cards

Good morning

A short post today with just a couple of Anniversary Cards.

This card has a white shimmer card base. I die cut a lattice frame from white card and layered it on to a Kaszazz coated paper, leaving some of the negative shapes intact. This was then wrapped across with a white and silver ribbon threaded through a rhinestone buckle, and fixed to the card base. Oval Floral Frame was stamped on to white card and die cut. The sentiment was stamped and silver embossed into this oval. This was then layered on to two additional die cut ovals and added to the card. Stickles was added to the flower, and silver pearls to finish off.

This card also has a shimmer card base. This is layered with silver card and a rose patterned paper, which has been wrapped with ribbon and ribbon roses, and an added silver heart brad, before fixing to the base. The stamped, embossed sentiment has been die cut and layered on to silver card.
Silver pearls have again been added.

Accordian Cards

Good morning,

These impressive cards were created on bases cut with Accordian card dies from Elizabeth craft designs.
The first two cards are Accordian circle cards, and also using coordinating square with circle frame edges.

For the front of this card I embossed the plain edges. The remaining edges have been die cut from the patterned paper. Best Birds stamps and dies have been used to decorate.

This card has been embellished with stamps and dies from Stampin'up Tropical Chic set.
The edges have all been cut from the patterned paper using the plain edge die.

Lillypad Lake stamps and dies from Stampin'up were used on this card.
Seagull dies from IO were also used.

This card is the accordian fancy label card and fancy frame edges.

These cards take a little longer to create, but the results are well worth it.

Covered Notebooks featuring Dusty Attic, Kaisercraft, Make It Crafty, WOW Chipboards etc...

Hello,

Today's post is a bit of a long one... 7 notebooks - all purchased notebooks of which I have decorated the front covers or part thereof, featuring chipboard pieces from various companies. Paper and card layers, brads and rhinestones were also used to embellish these covers.

Notebook 1 features Large Cogs from Kaisercraft - painted with gold paint and coated with Ranger's Glossy Accents.

Notebook 2 features Dusty Attic's Anchors - simply painted with gold paint. Rounding the corners on the right hand side of the card layers to match the notebook is a tip to change the overall appearance.

Notebook 3 features Dusty Attic's Birdcage #2. This notebook already had the black binding with the black elastic enclosure. I adhered the birdcage, bird and rhinestones directly to the patterned cover, also adding a strip of gold glitter washi tape down the left hand side.

Notebook 4 features an amazing die from Dusty Attic called Devine Divas, which I coated with a glitter paint. The beautiful pink laced frame is a paper frame from my stash - unknown brand.

Notebook 5 features a winged heart from Make It Crafty - Steampunk Hearts, painted in black and coated with Ranger's Glossy Accents.

Notebook 6 - I am unsure of the brand of this frame and the butterflies - both from my stash but had no packaging. I have left these chipboards raw to co-ordinate with the gold colour of the notebook.

Notebook 7 features 2 corner dies - both from WOW Words or Whatever, one again painted in black and coated with Glossy Accents. This notebook also had a patterned cover.

Phew made it to the end! Are you a notebook addict like myself?

Thanks for visiting,

Ballerina Cards featuring Tattered Lace Die etc...

Hello,

Beautiful Ballerinas are the focus of these Happy Birthday Cards. The backgrounds are created using Ken Oliver Crafts Color Burst Powders - my first attempt at using these powders hehe!

This first ballerina die is a one I purchased from ebay - so is an unknown brand name. I have die-cut all of the ballerina images from black cardstock and coated them with Ranger's Glossy Accents. The wording on this card is from Stampin' Up's Happiest Birthday Wishes.

These gorgeous ballerinas are a Tattered Lace Die designed by Stephanie Wrightman - named Spinning Charm Ballerina.

The Happy Birthday Stamp used on the above and below cards is a Kaszazz Stamp - Mini Messages - Happy Birthday.

Black card layers with a white card base and black rhinestones really make these glossy ballerinas pop!

Hope you are having a crafty day today,
