Christmas Creations...

Good Morning,

We are having a spot of rain at the moment... Lovely!  How is the weather where you live?

Today I have a couple of Christmas Creations to show you...

Mini Kraft Gift Bags...

The mini kraft gift bags were a quick and easy make (and you know how much I love those!) and they are also an ideal way to use up those smaller leftover paper pieces!

Christmas colours, add a bit of ribbon - great for those smaller treats!

Next - I have been calling these mini half flips... I guess I should be calling them mini concertina albums - the fantastic thing about these is you only use half a piece (lengthways) of A4 cardstock.

All you need to do is add photos!! (There are 5 places for you to do so!)

And lastly, some mini flip albums... (Bit hard to take photos with all that bling!)

I first shared with you an album I created like this here:  http://barbnshellcreations.blogspot.com.au/2014/07/fancy-pants-accordian-flip-album.html

Also, a quick and easy make with lots of photo opportunities!

If you wish to know any of the dies, punches etc that I have used, please leave a comment and I will get back to you.

Have a fantastic crafty day!

Basic Grey - Herbs and Honey - Recipe Box

Hello,

Favourites, mains, starters, desserts. cakes and drinks....  papercrafting or cooking.... well actually both!!    Does this post sound familiar??  Last month, I shared with you the Recipe Book I created using the same fabulous papers, have a look if you missed it - http://barbnshellcreations.blogspot.com.au/2014/10/basic-grey-herbs-and-honey-recipe-book.html

As per the Recipe Book, I created the tabs using my envelope maker...

The products used are from Basic Grey's Herbs and Honey Range - papers, Die-cuts and Transparencies.

I created the box from a 12x12 piece of card (from the pack of a paper pad), and I used system cards in between each tabbed section to write the recipes on.

For a more detailed look at my Recipe Box and a list of the products I have used, please visit Wild About Scrap's Blog.

Happy cooking... and happy creating!

More Christmas card ideas

Hello

Today I am sharing with you a few more cards, made using that paper stash.

The stag topper is made using d/s  Jac paper attached to gloss card. The stag stencil was placed over the jac paper and flock rubbed through. The stencil was then removed and white marble glitter applied over the remainder of the sticky paper.
The poinsettia topper is made by stamping the image with glue pad on to black gloss card and applying metal leaf. This was then die cut and attached to a larger label die cut from foil card.

This card again uses a stencil through which I added gold sparkle medium on to black gloss card.
The Merry Christmas chipboard is coloured with stardust pen and coated with crystal effects.
The Santa is punched from the patterned paper,

The tall card is simply the beautiful paper on to which I embossed the sentiment, added a bow and some highlights with stardust pen and glitter glue.
The square card has a stamped and embossed image, which I coloured with alcohol pens, and an embossed sentiment.

These two cards and toppers are from the same paper pack. I have simply added layers of silver card and ribbons and rhinestones.

The final card today is made using Sizzix dies. The dove etc. is cut from white card which I coloured with alcohol pens. The sentiment is die cut from red card, applied to d/s jac paper which is fixed to white card, and then covered with clear glitter. Red rhinestones finish the design.

Are those creative juices flowing? Time to go play crafting and have fun.
Till next time

7 Cards from One 12x12 Sheet

Hi,

How gorgeous is this paper?  Basic Grey - Herbs and Honey - Radish....  I saw it and fell in love!

I gave myself a mini challenge - I wanted to see how many cards I could create (using decent size pieces of the paper!) -  if I made an easel card and a square card.  (I have seen where other crafters have created many more cards from one sheet - I ended up with 7)

This is how my sheet looked when cut into pieces...

Using cardstock in various co-ordinating colours, ribbon, brads and rhinestones - these are the cards I created.

My square card...

and my easel card...

Hope you enjoyed my 7 cards from one sheet - I think I will be giving myself this challenge again!!

How many cards have you made from one sheet?

Kaszazz - Carpe Diem notebook

Hello

Something a little different today.
This was the project in our latest media session.

I started with a plain white covered notebook. You could use a coloured or printed cover if you wished, but if too bright, simply paint first with gesso. On the front I dabbed mahogany paint through a diamond patterned stencil to the bottom right and top left. I then added green paint to the stencil, turned it over and applied to the left and central area. The dream and life messages were then stamped in Stazon ink. On the back cover I stamped the chain link, net and mesh images in archival ink.
Images and messages from Masterpiece, Carpe diem and Embrace possibilities stamp sets were then stamped with stazon, on to tissue paper and torn out. These images were then arranged over the covers and applied with matte medium (I used Mod Podge). The whole cover was then sealed with medium.

As the original covers were lightweight card, they tended to warp a little, so I made liners from card and included a pocket inside the front. I made a couple of stamped tags (to use a page markers, bookmarks etc.) and tucked them in. Twine was tied around the spine and a couple of charms added.

Back and front covers of opened book.

A slight change from Christmas, but would make a great small gift.
Till next time - Enjoy that crafting

Kaisercraft Collectables - Christmas Cards...

Hello,

Hope you are loving our Christmas Cards ???!!! You are? - that's great as we have many more to show you... and I mean many...  Which is fantastic for you - think of all that inspiration - well hopefully we are inspiring you!! Now, this set of cards - is very simply created using Kaisercraft Collectables.

I have once again, raided my stash for papers...

Every card is a white based card...

Most of them have a red cardstock layer underneath patterned paper...

The others are created with a single layer and a collectable...

Some of them are even created using wrapping paper...

This set of photos shows some of the cards I created when I made a stack of 50, so I will have more to show you - made using collectables etc.

The Kaisercraft Collectable Packs I have used to make this stack of 50 (Yes I will show you the others - maybe in 3 parts as there are so many!!) are:

Merry and Bright
Christmas Carol and
Saint Nicholas

I have also used ribbon and rhinestones - of course!!

Have a great day,
Back again soon with more for you...
