Mini Album/Journal - Prima Engraver and Lifetime Collections

Hello

I quite often see papers that I instantly fall in love with and have to have...  The Prima Papers from the Engraver and Lifetime Collections are some of these papers!  I had no idea what I was going to create with them when I bought them - but I just had to have them!

I created a Mini Album / Journal with these beautiful papers.  There is something about the colours - maybe it's the vintage feel?!?  If you wish to see the inside of the album and a list of the products and the papers I have used to create this album - please visit Wild About Scrap's Blog.

I am sure, if you have been following our blog, you will recognise that I have used Tim Holtz Dies again!!!  Tattered florals, Tattered leaves and Elegant Flourishes... Did I mention how much I love these dies!!

Please visit again soon,

Creating with BaRb-Stampin'up-By the Seashore-Feel Better

By the Seashore-Feel Better
Hello
This card was created for our latest masking technique class

On to a white card base I first stamped the sand dollar image, using baked brown sugar ink, and also stamped on to a post it note. I cut out the second image just inside the line and placed it over the card image. I then did the same with the starfish image using coastal cabana ink, again cutting out and placing the second image over the card image. The coral from By the tide set was stamped in calypso coral ink over both the masked images. The masks were removed and the base around the images was coloured with watercolour pencil and carefully blended with an aquabrush, avoiding the stamping.
A strip of High tide paper is added down the left of the card along with a couple of candy dots.
The sentiment, from Sassy salutations, is stamped in brown sugar ink.

The card insert. The sentiment is from Express yourself set.
Thanks for visiting

Trees

Hi Everyone
While we are up here waiting to see what this cyclone sitting of our coast here is about to do, I thought I would share with you one of my latest cards
This card was extremely hard to photograph as the front panel is created using Shimmerz sheet which is very shiny and reflects everything. I have used a craft card base and matted the front with a paper from Fab scraps, on which I have punched the right edge. I threaded the punched design with twine and tied a button at the top. The front panel is embossed with a tree folder and sanded lightly back. The sentiment is by Stampscapes. This is then taped to black gloss card on which I heavily distressed the edges. Coloured rhinestones were added to some of the flower centres to finish off the design.

The insert was stamped with a sentiment from Stampin'ups Bloomin marvelous set and a tree from Lovely as a tree set.
I hope you have enjoyed this card.
Till next time

Tim Holtz Tattered Florals - Notebook

Hi,

I am back again with another notebook - embellished with Tattered Florals - can you remember the purple one I created last month? Now, I have a black Notebook to show you...

As you can see the Notebook is held closed with elastic - so I had to plan my embellishment to suit - flat enough to still be able to close without getting in the way of the elastic.

I have used Tim Holtz Bigz Dies - Tattered Florals and Elegant Flourishes.

The flowers have been stamped with script and all of the flourishes and flowers have been edge hi-lighted with my clear gel pen.

Instead of using rhinestones (wait - what do you mean no rhinestones???) - (Don't worry) I have used pearls -  in a couple of different sizes.  For a minute there I had you worried didn't I??! How can you create a project without bling?! Is that even possible?

I also have some red Notebooks to embellish (aren't you excited?) - look for those soon,

Journals

Hello Journal Lovers,

Surprise, surprise - I have done another page in my journal!  I must admit it has been quite a while, and I do miss it - so I will just have to create another page every now and then... Remind me.....

As I've mentioned to you in a previous post - I created a book full of background pages, then I used up all of my old Rub-ons randomly throughout the book.  Todays Rub-on reads - "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and LEAVE A TRAIL" written by Ralph Waldo Emerson.

I created the background a while ago using acrylic paints and spritzing with water.  The verse and the flowers are some of the rub-ons I mentioned.  I added stickles and kindyglitz in various colours to the flowers to make them sparkle.

Underneath the verse, I stamped a path, which is a Stampscapes Stamp and added embossing powder for some texture.

Over the whole journal page I stamped tiny butterflies, ants and bees (things you find in the path of life).  I  doodled flowers and added Liquid Pearls for their centres.

Along the edges of the pages I added gold and purple metallic paint, which I've also added random spots all over the pages for added sheen.  Hope you like my Journal Page! Now, if I leave the book out.....

Are you Creating your own path today?
Or are you following someone else's?

Tim Holtz Tattered Florals - Card

Hello

Tim Holtz Tattered Florals is such a fantastic die - it seems to be my 'go to' die at the moment.  When creating my treasure chest with BaRb, I had die cut some 'extras' in case I needed them, and as I didn't use them on my Treasure Chest, I have created this beautiful card with them.

I have also used Tim Holtz Elegant Flourishes Die for the gorgeous flourishes tucked underneath.  I cut many layers of the smaller flowers from paper - the mesh type material was actually a layer used in wrapping from a bunch of flowers.  I spritzed the card with Perfect Pearls - gold mixed in a mini mister with water.  The white flowers and flourish is the patterned paper on the other side! - I had planned to use the pattern but felt it was too busy - so I flipped it over and used the white - this seemed to lift the other colours and make the gold sparkle more.

Enjoy the rest of your day

Creating with BaRb-Stampin'up-High Tide paper

High Tide paper
Hello
I recently bought the High tide paper. I did not realise  just how great it was.
The ship in the bottle was crying out to be a feature, so we have this Happy Birthday card.

The front of the white card base is embossed in the dots folder, the top right corner rounded and the edges lightly sponged with Indigo ink.
A piece of the waves paper was cut to fit the card front, cut in half diagonally, the edges distressed and sponged, and then added to the left side of the card; leaving the central section free.
A bottle was taped to card then cut out and tucked behind the paper using glue dots at the base and a dimensional at the top.
An itty bitty birthday banner was stamped in indigo and die cut, and matted with a marino mist banner. Linen thread was tied in a loop through the banner, around the paper and attached with dimensionals.
A clear stardust pen was used to highlight the bottle, the fish in the waves, and the banner.
Candy dots finish the design.

The Open sea and Wishes your way stamp sets were used for the insert.
This paper pack has loads of inspirational designs.
Be happy crafting
