Stashbusters

 Hello

These cards were created using chipboard bits and pieces left from previous projects.

This was a 2 layer chipboard flower. The layers were separated, painted with gesso, then sponged with ink. It was glued back together, a gem added, and the petals highlighted with stickles glitter glue. The leaves were layered with green adhesive paper and veins scored into them, then sponged with the yellow ink. Yellow pearl card and white card die cut frames were attached to embossed white card, the edges shaded, then layered on to yellow card, and attached to the white card base. The flower and leaves were attached, along with a sentiment label, a gemstone butterfly, and three gems in the top corner

The flower on this card was separated, painted with gesso, then coloured with alcohol ink markers. A hole was punched through the centre of the rejoined pieces and stamens threaded through. Stickles was again used to highlight.
The chipboard butterfly was coloured with Stardust pens then coated with glossy accents. the leafy flourish die cut has veins drawn in with green Wink of Stella pen, and then highlighted with clear Wink of Stella. A stamped sentiment, a gold yarn bow, and gems were added.

The chipboard bird and wing were sprayed with ink and mounted over glittered chipboard feathers. The butterflies on the script paper were coloured with silver Wink of Stella and gems added to the bodies. Paper flowers and a stamped sentiment  were added to finish off.

The designs are highlighted and finished as per the previous set.

I hope you have found some inspiration for your own designs here.

Wild Cats 1 - Stampin'up

 Hello

Wild Cats stamps and die set from Stampin'up was used for these cards.

The hanging foliage and the sentiment were stamped on to the patterned paper background, the edges distressed, and the piece layered on to coloured card. this panel was then attached to the green card base.
The stamped and die cut tiger and foliage were shaped and layered on top, along with other pieces of die cut foliage and hanging vines.
A gem was added to the top corner and the vines highlighted with Wink of Stella.

The image panel for this card is created the same way, with the leopard sitting on a strip of embossed card.

The embossing folder used is Animal Print.
The inks used for stamping are Versafine, as I find these give the best impressions with photopolymer stamps.
The animals were first die cut then stamped and shaded.
Gems were added to each card, glossy accents was applied to the animal eyes and noses, and Wink of Stella to selected foliage.

Tropical - Stampin'up

 Hello

This set of cards was created using the Timeless Tropical stamp and die sets from Stampin'up.

Coastal Weave embossing folder was used on the background.

Stamping images with coloured ink on to either white or coloured card saves time colouring.
Embossing paper  or using textured card for backgrounds will add definition, as will distressing the edges of card and paper layers.
Gems, glossy accents, glitter glue, and Wink of Stella pens are used for highlights.

Quick and Easy Cards - Kaszazz

 Hello

A couple of really quick and easy cards for today.

White card base, coloured card layer, then a layer of paper from Papillon collection papers by Kaszazz. A pocket from Pocket Pals set was stamped on to paper and fussy cut. Lace was fixed across the top and brads added, and it was then taped to the card front along the two outside and the bottom edges.  A flower Cut out from the same collection was tucked into the pocket and a butterfly cut out added. A die cut sentiment and pearls were attached and glossy accents and glitter glue applied.

The navy card base was layered with light blue card, then pattern paper from Home Sweet Home collage paper pad by Kaszazz. Metallic tape was added to the paper.
An image panel from the paper pad was trimmed, layered on to pink then blue card, and mounted on to the card front. A fussy cut butterfly was added with a pearl shell button with a gold thread knot fixed to the body.
Gems and glossy accents were applied

Wild and Free #2

 Hello

Hope you are all having a pleasant day.

I had so much fun creating the previous set of cards using this stamp set, that I had, of course, to then go on to create cards using all the animals in the set.

They were all created in the same way as previously.
I simply used different configurations of card and paper layers on the card bases.

Wild and Free cards

 Hello

To make these cards, I first created the backgrounds. Using watercolour card and a fairly dry brush and thick watercolour paint, the foreground and sky areas were painted first. A darker blue was used over the top to shape the mountains, then green was dabbed across the middle area for a tree line. Darker brown strips were brushed on to the ground area.

Once the paint was dry, the small animals, birds and trees from Wild and Free stamp set were stamped in place.

The larger animal images were stamped on to white card, coloured with pencils and fussy cut.

For cards 1 and 3, strips of pattern paper were added to the coloured base card.
For card 2, the base was layered with coloured card, then the strip of paper. The painted and stamped panel was then mounted centrally on the card.
The panels for cards 1 and 2 were layered on to coloured card, then mounted on to the card fronts.

The focal images of the animals were then mounted on to the cards.
Pearls and glossy accents were applied.

Thanks for visiting.
