Stampin'up Holiday Home

The Night before Christmas

Hello

This is our version of the night before- no snow here- after all we live in the tropics.

I have matted a black card base with silver glimmer card.
All stamping is on natural white card. I used a circle as a mask for the moon and sponged the card front with night of navy ink, removed the mask and sponged the moon with honey ink, then spritzed the corner with slate ink. Santa's sleigh and reindeer are stamped in versamark and black embossed. The houses were stamped on the card in black stazon and again on to a second piece of card. The windows were sponged with honey ink, the houses with navy ink, and the bricks and tiles coloured with slate marker. These were then die cut. The trees are a Tim Holtz stamp and die.
A star brad was placed in the top left, the sentiment stamped, and the panel attached to the card. The houses were added using dimensionals, the trees with glue dots. Coloured rhinestones are added for lights, and clear rhinestones form the Southern Cross and the Big Dipper.

The insert.
I hope you enjoy this card. What is your night before like?

Till next time- keep happy

Stampin' Up Shop Around Wheel - Neutral Collage Cards

Good Morning,

November already!!  We are full swing into the Christmas projects!  Before we show you more of our Christmas Creations, I have a couple of cards to show you....

I have been wanting to try creating my own backgrounds - collage style and this is what I created using Stampin' Up's Shop Around wheel - one of my favourites...

And using Crafty Individuals Birdcage Die ...

Gorgeous aren't they!?!  The other products that I have used are:

Tim Holtz Sizzix Die - Honeycomb, Stampin' Up's French Foliage and Just Believe Stamps, Stampin' Up's Flowers, Label and Leaves Punches and Kaszazz - Net Large Stamp.  White card and a vanilla coloured card are the two cardstock I have used as well as Stampin' Up's Ink colours - Baked Brown Sugar, Early Espresso and Lost Lagoon.

Brads for the flower centres and some twine finish off the cards.

I really enjoyed creating these two cards - I had named them my "Ooh La La" cards - then I could not remember why I called them this until I had another look at the Lady in the Stampin' Up Wheel - she is saying "Ooh La La"!!

Hope you have an "Ooh La La" type of day too!

Hello,

We are absolutely heading into Summer here in Queensland!!  Today I have some more crocheting to show you...  I feel like I have a Butterfly Breeding Program happening!!

These butterflies do not take long to make to all, and they are so cute!

I have crocheted assorted colours.

They can be added to card fronts, scrapbooking pages, off the page creations - canvases etc.

Pinks, reds, purples, blues.......

And, of course I had to make some more flowers!

These little packs of butterflies and flowers will soon be added to our online store, so keep an eye out for them!

Thanks for visiting,

Christmas Card in a box

Hello

I know Shell has previously shared a card in a box with you. Here is a Christmas version I created for our latest session.

The card standing. I have used traditional colours of white, red and green.

Stamps and matching dies are from Heartfelt Creations and Sizzix Tim Holtz. I have also used dies from Marianne, Spellbinders and IO.
On the backs of the flaps I have stamped a Christmas Sentiment on one and To: From; on another, leaving space for a personal greeting.
These cards are really fun to make, can be made in any size and to suit any occasion, and fold flat for postage.
Have a go at making one.
Till next time- keep on with those Christmas creations.

Basic Grey - Herbs and Honey - Recipe Book

Good Morning,

Starters, Mains, Desserts, Cakes, Drinks and Favourites....  Am I inspiring you to cook???   No? Ok... hopefully I am inspiring you to create your own personalized Recipe Book - yeah that sounds a bit more like fun!!   Cooking or creating, mmmmm..... your choice - I know what mine would be!!!

I created this Recipe book from scratch using deliciously named papers from Basic Grey's Herbs and Honey range,  Element Stickers, Die-cuts and Transparencies and Title Stickers.  The cover is recycled from a used up paper pad and the pages for each recipe section are from an out of date diary.
I bound my recipe book using my Zutter.

Each section has plenty of pages to write or glue in your favourite recipes. On the tabbed page, I stamped a mini index - for example under the "Starters" Tab I have stamped: 'Starters, Soups and Snacks' and under the "Cakes" Tab I have stamped: 'Cakes, Biscuits and Slices' and so on...
I also created a pocket on each tabbed page - this could be used to place a more detailed index of what you have in each section...

I created the tabs for each tabbed section using my Envelope maker...

For a more detailed view of my Recipe Book - more photos, a list of (I nearly typed 'ingredients' hehe!) products etc - please visit: Wild About Scrap's Blog.

Now I am hungry... mmmm...
Why is that??

Joyfold Cards...

Hello,

I have a couple of Joyfold cards to show you today...

Pretty aren't they!?!
The base card measurements are 21cm x 14cm, and this is scored at 14cm.  The top card is 20cm x 11cm and I scored this at 10cm.

This card is created with a white card base, patterned paper from my stash, pearls and lace.  The stamp on the front is from Stampin' Up's Elementary Elegance, stamped in SU In Colour Strawberry Slush and punched out with Artisan Labels Punch.

The inside Birthday Stamp is from Stampin Up's Happiest Birthday Wishes and the flowers are from Stampin Up's Language of Friendship set.

The wording on the front of this card is SU's Tea Shoppe set, stamped and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.  This card is created with Stampin' Up's Strawberry Slush Card, patterned paper, rhinestones, ribbon and a brad.

The Label for the inside is a Spellbinder's Nestabilities Label 15, which I have stamped with flowers from SU Cottage Garden Set.

I like this style so much I think I may go and create some Christmas Cards using this style!
Have you ever created a Joyfold Card?
