Joyfold Cards...

Hello,

I have a couple of Joyfold cards to show you today...

Pretty aren't they!?!
The base card measurements are 21cm x 14cm, and this is scored at 14cm.  The top card is 20cm x 11cm and I scored this at 10cm.

This card is created with a white card base, patterned paper from my stash, pearls and lace.  The stamp on the front is from Stampin' Up's Elementary Elegance, stamped in SU In Colour Strawberry Slush and punched out with Artisan Labels Punch.

The inside Birthday Stamp is from Stampin Up's Happiest Birthday Wishes and the flowers are from Stampin Up's Language of Friendship set.

The wording on the front of this card is SU's Tea Shoppe set, stamped and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.  This card is created with Stampin' Up's Strawberry Slush Card, patterned paper, rhinestones, ribbon and a brad.

The Label for the inside is a Spellbinder's Nestabilities Label 15, which I have stamped with flowers from SU Cottage Garden Set.

I like this style so much I think I may go and create some Christmas Cards using this style!
Have you ever created a Joyfold Card?

Heart Boxes (Part 2)...

Hello,

Back with the second set of Heart Boxes - this is the set that is being kept together as a set...

Please excuse the not so great photos!!  The colour in the photos is not quite right and as I have already passed the boxes on....

Side view and top view of the stacked boxes.  We painted the bottoms of the heart boxes with black acrylic paint and adhered co-ordinating papers to the lids.  Ribbon and bows around the outside of the lids and bows on the tops.

And, finally we added a large bow to keep them all together!

See you again soon,

Heart Boxes

Good Afternoon,

Week 2 at School and I feel like I have hit the ground running!  We were asked to cover some Heart Boxes for a cent sale coming up soon.  We were given two sets of 5 heart boxes - 1 set to have as separate prizes and one set to keep whole as a larger prize....  This is the set that is being split up - I will show you the other set as soon as I have added the ribbon.

As they weren't being kept as a set - we felt we didn't need to keep them all the same.

Front and Back Views of the Boxes stacked up.

I think this one is probably my favourite!

We just used papers and paints I already had in my stash - kept them fairly simple - paint the bottoms and cover the lids in paper.

We attached ribbons all the way around the lids and added bows as above.

Thank you to my Beautiful Friend who came and helped me to cover and paint these!!  We had a great day!!

Back soon with the other set,

Graphic 45 - By The Sea Collection Card-in-a-Box

Hello,

I had soooo much fun creating this one!!  Have you made a Card-in-a-Box yet?
The gorgeous paper I have used is Graphic 45 - By The Sea Collection - Beachcomber.  The base card is Stampin' Up's Very Vanilla.

These photos show the three undersides and the back of the box card.  You don't particularly see the undersides all that much, but I thought it was nice to stamp on these panels also.  For the Cardstock - I have used Stampin' Up's new card colours Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist.    I have stamped most of the images with Tangelo Twist inkpad as well.

The back of the card is probably the best place to write your Message, although this would be a fantastic card to make if you had an occasion where many people needed to sign your card as you could use all of the underside panels.  The wording on the back of the card is from Stampin' Ups  Happiest Birthday Wishes Set which I have embossed with Tangerine Tango embossing Powder.

The stamp set I have used for the shells, coral, seahorses etc is By the Tide (Stampin' Up) and an old miscellaneous Turtle stamp I have had for many years.  I have clear embossed the stamped images for the pop-up section using both of the cardstock colours - Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist.

I have added 3 brass charms (turtle, anchor and a sailing ship) and rhinestones to my creation.  The 'happy birthday' on the front is from Stampin' Up's Set - Itty Bitty Banners and the smallest banner is die-cut using Framelits - Bitty Banners die. (I hand-cut the larger banners)

This is a view of the card from the top.  You can see where I have added the seahorses, shells and coral.  Plenty more embellishments can be added if desired.

Depending on how you have created your pop-up decorations, as to whether or not your card can be folded flat to fit inside an envelope.  This is how mine looks when folded flat.

Definitely a surprise when you open up your card!

I was inspired to create this card from two places actually...a UK magazine -  Cardmaking and Papercraft Issue 132 July and a youtube video for a Steampunk Card-In-A-Box Tutorial by Craftypaws. Thank-you to both inspirational places!!

Happy Creating,

Stampin'up Ornamental Pine

Hello

Card for today features Stampin'up Ornamental Pine

It is an easel card in the colours of Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler and whisper white. The paper is Be of Good Cheer dsp. I used the deco labels die and the dots embossing folder. The verse is stamped with versamark and silver embossed. Pine needles are in gumball green, cones in soft suede, and the Christmas wishes and all sponging is in cherry cobbler. Ribbon is cherry cobbler and silver. Tiny silver brads and rhinestones finish off the design.

Closed and inside views of card.

Of course there had to be a tag.

Have you started your Christmas crafting yet?

Calendar Notes

Hi there
Today I have for you another item that would make a great gift.

Both examples have been created using Stampin'up card and paper, twine and brads. It is made as an easel card and folds  flat. The calendar pads are by Couture Creations. One sheet of 12 x 12 card is required per note pad. The front stand has two layers of card and one of  paper to support the calender

The colours I have used are Midnight Muse for one and Razzleberry for the other.
A little inspiration for that small gift list.

Till next time- happy crafting

Australia Mini Album

Good Morning,

I have a Mini Album to show you this morning.  This album has an Australian Theme - one of our Japanese Homestay Students had a Birthday while she was staying with us - so I created this as part of her Birthday Present - all she had to do was add photos!

Cockatoos and Kangaroos.....

Best Wishes and Australian Flags.

Each page featured a Cockatoo or a Kangaroo or a Koala or a Butterfly.

This was the gift bag and card I created to go with the Mini Album.
At the end of her visit, I also gave her a pocket album full of photos - so she had plenty of photos to choose from to add to her Mini!

Have a great day!
