Christmas Ideas #2

Hi everyone

A few more ideas for you, using up some more of the Christmas paper stack.

This simple card is white with a red layer, then an embossed green layer of card, patterned paper on the top half, a band, sentiment and flower from the paper pack and a leaf which I stamped on to acetate then die cut. A couple pieces of ribbon added behind the flower, some pearls and some Inka gold rubbed over the embossing finished the design. The insert is stamped with a sentiment from Stampin'up and trees from Tim Holtz.

This second card is again white, with red paper, spotty paper and then red snowflake paper layered on top. I added a holly paper band, a white paper, then a white glitter paper banner, a glittered scalloped square, then a flower and sentiment circle from the paper pack. Some snowflake sequin scatters and pearls are added. The stamped sentiment in the insert is by Stampin'up.

This card is a trifold stepper, all in pink, silver and white. I punched the edge of the front paper and inserted a strip of silver foil card behind it. The Star of Wonder and the Let us adore him sentiments are by Daily Bread designs and the star light sentiment is by CD. All have been silver embossed. Silver stars and pearls were all the embellishment the paper needed.

This card is again based on white. I have used green card to mat the papers.
The card is an easel design. I trimmed the bottom of the paper and placed it at the top and layered the remainder of the paper sheet over the top, after trimming the curve. A strip of ribbon was attached across, and this was then fixed to the card front.
Another sheet of the paper was then cut and the top section placed inside the card for a message, and the bottom strip with the bird was stamped with a Stampin'up sentiment. matted on to green card and fixed with dimensionals, to act as the easel stopper. A small strip of ribbon was added.

Rhinestones were added to the card front, to finish the design..

These cards are all really fun to make, and very cost effective using those free paper gifts.
Till next time- keep happy crafting

Christmas papers

Hello

I don't know about you, but I seem to have a stack of Christmas papers, toppers, etc. which have come with various magazines. I decided that I needed to lessen the stack so have a few ideas here for you. I have used Stampin'up card for all the designs, and stamps and embellishments from my stash.

This design uses papers and a decoupage design which was included.
I added glitter, brads, pearls, snowflake sequin scatters, and a stamped image.
A stamped insert is added.

On this card I used Tim Holtz tattered poinsettia die and Spellbinders lacy  and scalloped square dies. The poinsettia is sprayed with perfect pearl, and glitter glue, a  brad and rhinestones added. A sentiment and an insert were stamped and added.

For this card I embossed the paper, added Tim Holtz holly branch die cuts which I painted with crackle paint, and added glitter glue to the branch and berries. Some twine, rhinestones and jingle bells finish off. The sentiment is Stampin'up. A stamped insert has been added.

The snowflake on this card is a Sizzix die, the label is Spellbinders and have been cut from Shimmer card. The sentiment is a Darkroom door stamp and is silver embossed.
A silver brad, silver ribbon and pearls were added.

An insert was stamped and added.

Dig into your stash and start creating. Keep happy.
Till next time

Christmas Tags 2014

Hello,

Here is a selection of the Christmas Tags I have created this year....

These Tags were all created using leftover pieces from last year's Christmas Projects (for Wild About Scrap) - a great way to use up all those pieces that are too small for card fronts - but too big to just throw away!

The papers are from Echo Park's "Tis The Season". I have added red cardstock to fill in the spaces.

I love the look of black tags - especially with the Christmas colours of red and green.

Rhinestones, ribbons, bows .....

And of course - black, white and grey always look stunning with red!!

The paper I used on the tags in the above photo is from 7 Gypsies - Santa's Journey Collection - Gypsy Christmas.  The wording is stamped from a Fundamentals set named Xmas.

Now, being black tags - not everyone owns a 'white' pen, so to make it easier to use the tags I have added a section of white cardstock on the back of the tags, onto which I have stamped "To" and "From".
Do you realize you have just looked at 50 tags ...  oops sorry 51 tags (I miscounted!) and I am sure I will  more than likely be creating more tags between now and Christmas!

Have you started your Christmas projects yet?

Kaszazz Christmas Card Ideas

Hi there

A few more Christmas ideas for you today, this time featuring Kaszazz stamps.

This card features stamps from Silhouette Trees, Silhouette Reindeer and the sentiment is from Christian Christmas.  The tree was stamped in green, then when dry over stamped a little higher and white embossed. The edges of the stamped panel are also randomly embossed in white. I used ivory and green card and distress inks. The insert is stamped with sentiments from Wishing you and Very Merry.

This second card is all white and silver embossed. The stamps used are Silhouette Santa's sleigh and Christian Christmas. The top panel has an oval aperture die cut into it and is then embossed in the stars folder. The image has been stamped and embossed on to a second layer and placed behind the embossed panel. This was wrapped with silver ribbon then attached to the card. The sentiment is silver embossed, cut in to an oval and attached. The insert is also stamped with a sentiment from Christian Christmas.

Lastly, I created a tag using the Candles stamp. It is silver embossed on to white card and coloured with watercolour pencils and a water brush, and attached to an oval, die cut from green card. This is then attached to a red glitter oval, and on to a paper covered tag. A sentiment banner was added to the bottom.
Glitter glue was added to highlight the berries, rhinestones to the sentiment banner and the upper corners of the paper, and glossy accents to the flames and melted wax on the candles.
The back of the tag has been stamped with To & From, and a sentiment from Christian Christmas.

I hope you find these ideas helpful and they inspire you with your Christmas crafting.
Till next time- keep happy- keep crafting

Stampin'up Holiday Home

The Night before Christmas

Hello

This is our version of the night before- no snow here- after all we live in the tropics.

I have matted a black card base with silver glimmer card.
All stamping is on natural white card. I used a circle as a mask for the moon and sponged the card front with night of navy ink, removed the mask and sponged the moon with honey ink, then spritzed the corner with slate ink. Santa's sleigh and reindeer are stamped in versamark and black embossed. The houses were stamped on the card in black stazon and again on to a second piece of card. The windows were sponged with honey ink, the houses with navy ink, and the bricks and tiles coloured with slate marker. These were then die cut. The trees are a Tim Holtz stamp and die.
A star brad was placed in the top left, the sentiment stamped, and the panel attached to the card. The houses were added using dimensionals, the trees with glue dots. Coloured rhinestones are added for lights, and clear rhinestones form the Southern Cross and the Big Dipper.

The insert.
I hope you enjoy this card. What is your night before like?

Till next time- keep happy

Stampin' Up Shop Around Wheel - Neutral Collage Cards

Good Morning,

November already!!  We are full swing into the Christmas projects!  Before we show you more of our Christmas Creations, I have a couple of cards to show you....

I have been wanting to try creating my own backgrounds - collage style and this is what I created using Stampin' Up's Shop Around wheel - one of my favourites...

And using Crafty Individuals Birdcage Die ...

Gorgeous aren't they!?!  The other products that I have used are:

Tim Holtz Sizzix Die - Honeycomb, Stampin' Up's French Foliage and Just Believe Stamps, Stampin' Up's Flowers, Label and Leaves Punches and Kaszazz - Net Large Stamp.  White card and a vanilla coloured card are the two cardstock I have used as well as Stampin' Up's Ink colours - Baked Brown Sugar, Early Espresso and Lost Lagoon.

Brads for the flower centres and some twine finish off the cards.

I really enjoyed creating these two cards - I had named them my "Ooh La La" cards - then I could not remember why I called them this until I had another look at the Lady in the Stampin' Up Wheel - she is saying "Ooh La La"!!

Hope you have an "Ooh La La" type of day too!
