A4 Stampscapes Covers

Hello

As mentioned earlier these are my grandest covers yet. They are A4 size and have been created in the same manner as the previous set.
I have again used Stampscapes images as they set the perfect scene.

I really enjoyed the process and I love these covers. I think I will have to make time to create some more.

Winter Woodlands - Stampin'up

Hello

These outdoorsy cards were created using Nature's Beauty stamps from Stampin'up.
Stamps and dies from Rooted in Nature set were also used.

Trees were stamped in coloured Archival ink on to white card. A second piece of white card had an oval aperture die cut into it, and was then embossed in the softly falling folder.
Additional trees were stamped on to white card then die cut. The fox was stamped with brown ink and coloured with pencil, then fussy cut. A strip of vellum was embossed then torn.
The blue card base was layered with the tree stamped panel and a piece of torn vellum added to the lower section. The oval die cut piece was mounted over the top, and the additional trees and the fox added, along with more vellum pieces to the tree bases.
Glitter glue was added to vellum edges and embossed areas for snow sparkle.
Pearls were final touch.

Patterned paper and die cut and embossed white card hills were  layered on to white card then the blue card base. Die cut green trees and stamped fussy cut rabbits were added.
Glitter glue and pearls again finished off the design.

White card was stamped with skeleton trees then embossed in woodland folder. this was sponged with ink to highlight, then added to patterned paper then to a green card base.
White card was cut into hills and embossed then added to the bottom of the card.
The stamped die cut tree, and the stamped, coloured and fussy cut deer were added.
The outdoors sentiment is from Kaszazz.
Puffy snow, glitter glue and pearls were added.

Have a great day

Aussie Themed Mixed Media Covers

Hello

Continuing the theme of tissue stamping, these are the results of my second effort. For this project I chose Australian images from Stamp-it.
As each of these images is a whole scene, I was able to judge positioning more easily.

After painting the chipboard covers with gesso, I applied texture paste in positions and shapes for clouds and for the creek and ground.
When this had dried, I painted on the areas of sky, tree bands, water and ground.

Images were stamped on tissue, coloured on the back, torn around the edges and applied with multi medium. Extra images were stamped (birds, extra trees to fill) and applied.

Extra colour was added where needed, and the covers sealed.

A gum tree image from Darkroom Door was added to the back covers.

The covers were filled and bound in the same way as the previous ones.
I had a great time making these covers and I have one more set which I will share later. My most adventurous yet.

Stampscapes Mixed Media Covers

Hello

These little books are the result of my experiments with a technique I had wanted to try. I had an idea of what I hoped to achieve and Stampscapes images were the natural choice.

I started with bare 6 x 6 chipboard covers and painted with a thin coat of gesso. When dry I added light layers of paint in sky and ground areas.
Images were stamped in archival ink on to tissue paper and roughly torn out around the edges.
Colour was added to the back of the images, using inks, paint or colour pencils.

The tissue paper images were then arranged on to the covers and stuck down with Multi Medium.
When dry, additional colour was painted on and allowed to dry completely.
An additional layer of multi medium was applied to seal the surfaces.

The tree trunk trio image was applied to the back covers of each book, and patterned paper to the inside of the covers. this was also sealed with multi medium.

A mixture of ruled and plain pages was added with plain card to separate the sections. The books were bound with rings to allow for addition or removal of pages.
I enjoyed making these covers and decided to get a little more adventurous in the next batch I created. That is a story for another post.

Thank you for visiting.

Stamps from  Tropical Resort collection by Kaszazz, were used for these cards.

The pineapple was stamped in orange ink on to yellow card and the top coloured with green ink.
The Birthday is die cut from gold foil card.

Leaves were stamped on to green patterned paper then fussy cut.
The chameleon is stamped in green on to green card then cut out.

Stamped patterned paper was added to the inside of the card, along with a panel of white card on which to write a message.
A sentiment was stamped on to patterned paper, then added to the card front.
Gems were added to the flowers and around the sentiment.
