Covered Journals 2

Hi

Some more journal covers for you today.

   

This book is covered with handmade paper and embellished with  kangaroo and grass tree die cuts. The grass trees were cut from black card, highlighted with metallic markers and coated with glossy accents. Rhinestones finished the design.

 

The front cover was lined with black card folded to include a pocket and a vellum envelope and card tucked in.

 

This one is covered in brocade style paper, has a gold frame with a die cut and coloured grunge paper  flower layered on top, a velvet leaf tucked under, a willow vine wrapped round, a small die cut bird, a couple of rose brads and some rhinestones.

 

This book also is covered in handmade paper, has a punched border, die cut leaves, cage and birds, a silk flower, butterfly brad and a rhinestone corner.

Each of the journals has a vellum envelope and notecard added to the lining of the back cover.

I hope you pick up some ideas from these books and are inspired to dress up some covers for your journals and books.

Mini Album - Maya Road Trees...

Hello,

Todays mini album was created using Maya Road Chipboard Trees and Dusty Attic Chipboards - Memories and a bicycle...

I painted the trees with acrylic paint, glitter and glossy accents.

In the top corner of each page, I have added a strip of washi tape.

I have also added a strip of washi tape to the front and back covers.

Mini albums are a great way to store photos or other memorabilia.

Covered Journals

Hello

Turn those plain covered journals and notebooks into something special. Here are some some I have recently created.

                                

Each of these books started with a plain black card cover. I applied speciality papers to each one using Mod podge then embellished with frames, die cuts papers, ribbons and gems etc.

            

The inside front covers have been lined with card which has a pocket folded to the bottom and a coordinating coloured vellum envelope has been tucked in. The inside back cover is also lined and a small vellum envelope and note card has been attached.

Many people use journals and these make a great gift.

Jewelry - Rose Quartz set

Good morning

I thought I would treat you to something different today and show you some jewelry. It is quite some time since I previously shared some pieces, which you can find here and here

 

This is a three piece set, necklace, bracelet and earrings,  created with Rose Quartz gemstones,- pendant, rounds and chips- set off with gold filigree rounds and fittings.

I do hope you enjoy looking at jewelry as I have many more designs I can share with you.

Strawberry Shortcake Mini...

Good Morning,

Going through my chipboard collection the other day, I came across these chipboards of Strawberry Shortcake - my youngest daughter used to love her!  I then went through my sticker stash and collected the Strawberry Shortcake stickers from there and have created this colourful mini using these goodies...

Stampin' Up Gift Tags...

Good Morning,

It is an absolutely beautiful morning here! What is the weather like where you are?  I have been a good girl this morning and have already been for a walk!  Today I am sharing with you a selection of gift tags that I have created recently...
