Just a Note Notecard Folder...

Hello,

I created some little notecards quite a while ago, and came across them in my card box, so I decided to create a folder for them.

The folder ties closed with a ribbon.

Red, black and white - my favourite colours!

The flowers and vases were punched and die-cut with assorted punches and dies (mostly Cuttlebug dies).

This little folder will make a fantastic gift!

Thanks for visiting, back again soon!

Mini Book-Moments

Hello

A mini book for you today. This little book is designed to be used as a journal or mini album.

The book measures 16.5 x 11.5 cm and has 6 internal pages. The book itself is created from recycled packaging boxes, cut to size and covered with papers, which have been glued down using Mod Podge.

The papers and elements in this book are from BoBunny.
The leaves are cut using a Cottage cutz die.

There are pockets and tags to add journaling
and photos and other mementos.

Borders and pockets etc. are fixed on 3 sides only to allow for photos and notes to be tucked under.

I have bound the book with my Cinch machine.

Add your notes and thoughts on the pages or tuck them away from sight in the pockets.

The final note.

I have added nothing to the outside back cover as the card used has a beautifully embossed design.

I hope you enjoy this little book as much as I have in creating it.

Till next time

Basic Grey - Herbs and Honey - Gardeners Diary

Hello,

Bloom where you are planted, plant kindness and gather love, growing like a weed, the cream of the crop.... These are some of the verses from the embellishments from the gorgeous Basic Grey - Herbs and Honey range.  So, how could I not be inspired to create a Gardeners Diary after seeing these?!?

I must warn you - I don't have a green thumb - every plant I touch generally dies - but I have found out... you actually need to water plants to make them grow! Haha - who would have thought it??

Now onto the Diary - choose your papers first:  Basic Grey - Herbs and Honey - Peas, Asparagus, Onion, Corn and Artichoke.

Then, sort through the embellishments in the range - Element Stickers, Dies and Transparencies and Title Stickers as well as from the Artichoke 12x12 and decide which you would like to use. I then 'planned' my diary - decided what I would like to include:

A calendar, moon phases charts, a garden design layout and irrigation layout, a rainfall chart, a list of purchased plants, a record of what was planted on which date, places to add photos..
Next, I cut my Basic Grey - Herbs and Honey pages to size, created a cover and covered this with green paper. I then bound these using my Crop-a-dile to punch three holes for rings. I added eyelets to the holes in the covers for added stability.

Now, please, backtrack a bit - when I was planning my Diary, I originally thought I would create tabbed sections for each month, but as I went along I decided to do it differently... So, now in the front section (each section is divided by the Herbs and Honey papers) I placed the information feature pages eg. garden design layout etc, then, in every other divided section I have placed 2 months i.e. January and February and a moon phase chart for each month. I also decided to bind the book with rings in case the Diary owner would like to change the order of the pages, add more pages, add more photo opportunities etc etc.

Did you have a close look at the above photos (Right hand top) at the Garden layout photo - I used a sheet of acetate for the irrigation layout over the top - so you can see where the plants are and design your irrigation over the top... Clever Huh?!?
There are plenty of photo opportunities in the diary - every divider (except the inside front cover) has space to add photos on the front of the dividers and I have left the back blank to add your beautiful garden photos or photos of other gardens you are inspired by.
I rounded the corners of each paper section to make it easier to find the next section  - using my Corner Chomper.

Design your embellishments for the front and back covers - I have kept mine fairly simple.

I would like to say I was off to do a spot of gardening, but now my thumbs really are black -  from stamping!!!

Bloom where you are planted!

Friends Mini Album - Basic Grey - Herbs and Honey...

Hello,

Where would we be without our friends? Do you have someone special you would like to create a mini album for?

My project for today is a mini Album celebrating 'Friends'...

Basic Grey - Herbs and Honey range has a really versatile range of embellishments included in the Element Stickers, Title Stickers, Die Cuts and Transparencies and the 12x12 sheet named Artichoke.

Gather all your supplies - I sorted through the Stickers and Die cuts etc and selected all the 'friend' related embellishments.
The papers I selected were:  Peas, Asparagus, Onion and Corn.

Cut the papers and covers to your required size, then cover the covers with co-ordinating paper.  I designed and embellished my front cover next, using some of the embellishments and Tim Holtz Alterations Bigz Die - Garden Greens.  The wording is cut using Tim Holtz Alterations - Wanted Alphabet and then covered with glossy accents. I added Distress Stickles - Mustard Seed to the leaves.

Next, place your pages in order and bind using your Zutter.  The next step is to decorate/embellish your pages.   I have kept the pages really simple with the idea in mind of adding a photograph to every page.  When I adhered the larger rectangular shaped embellishments - I adhered them by only three sides - to be able to place corners of photographs underneath if required. I rounded the top corners of the pages using my WRMK Corner Chomper and then highlighted this by 'stitching' with a black marker - just a bit of added detail.

Lastly, add any ribbons, rhinestones and any other final touches you would like.

See you again soon friend,

Stampin'up Sheltering Tree

Hello

The cards I am sharing with you today are created using Stampin'up new set - Sheltering Tree

These cards have all been made using this stamp set only.
I have made 4 versions (1 for each season), using different colours and configurations for each one. All card bases are white, and all images are stamped on white.
This summer version uses the colours of suede, for the tree trunk, black & real red for the bike, pear, olive, gumball and garden green for the leaves and grasses, and tangerine for the flowers. The leaves have been over embossed with clear powder. The background is shaded with soft sky.

The winter version is soft sky, suede for the tree, and honey for the few leaves remaining on the tree. The ground has been over embossed with with white powder for snow. Pearls add the finishing touch.
This card is a side opening square.

Autumn has had the leaves stamped several times, offset, using honey, tangerine, daffodil and real red, and over embossed in clear powder.
This card is matchbook style.

Spring is a Z trifold version, using the colours of rose red, blushing bride and pear for the leaves, again embossed in clear. I have used oval and edgelits dies.
The oval frame is coated with crystal effects.

This stamp set is so versatile, this is only the beginning of ideas.
I hope you have found some inspiration for your own creations here.
Till next time- be happy crafting

Valentine Card in a Box...

Hello,

Sharing with you today another Card in a Box - I think once you have made one of these types of cards - you can't stop making them - they are so versatile...

I have a used a white base and all the panels are red cardstock which has been embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.

The hearts are created with Stampin' Up's I (heart) Heart stamp set and co-ordinating punch.  The larger scalloped hearts are die-cut with an Mpress Die.  I have also heat embossed the hearts using Stamp World's Gold Tinsel, Zing Glitter Red and Tim's Distress Fired Brick embossing powders.

The wording "Life is Beautiful" is from Stampin' Up's Style Beautiful Stamp Set.

The back panel simply says "Love" from Kaisercraft's "On This Day" set.

And, of course these cards fold flat to fit inside an envelope.

Have a beautiful day!

Valentine Canvas...

Hello,

All things Valentine... Hearts, Love, Red, Lace....

I have created a canvas that features lots of Valentine elements.

I started with a layer of red card which I have torn the edges all the way around, then added a layer of tissue type cloth.  The large scalloped heart is cut using a die from Mpress and then embossed. The Tickets are from Tim Holtz. A strip of lace...

I added 2 gold heart brads and some little handstitched gold crosses to my canvas with some glossy accents on the smaller hearts for a touch of shine.

Have you started creating your Valentine projects yet?
